Good starter for VR, get an external head strap battery.
There was soo much anticipation and doubt with this thing before I ordered it. Now that I have used it for a while I'm rather surprised. First off, the shipping was fine, the packaging was fine, no damage and I had no issues with the price. First VR experience as a Tech freak and I'm blown away by what it's capable of. I know since my experience is limited to this quest 3s, I'll need a few more to compare it to. I used my roommates quest 2 and I know what I have is better in that regard. It's great that I can run some emulators sideloaded. RetroArch runs but don't expect gamepads to plug and play without some configuration. Ok so it runs VRchat ok. Know that there is no warning for loading certain worlds that are not optimized so the quest 3s will stutter and crash from too much going on. Last night I had to do a 10 second power button hold to restart the headset. I love watching movies with this thing. Using JBL tunes660nr. It's Bluetooth and sounds great. The built in speakers are not bad but know that what your listening to will be heard by others in the same room on low volume. I don't blast out at full volume often. The glasses spacer is junk. My lenses are scuffed. Your not getting prescription lenses from Zenni optical if you have progressives. They don't support it. I'll need to find another option and figure out how to replace the factory lenses. Build is ok, controllers need a grip set. They were made to be dropped so meta makes more money. Can't say the wrist strap rings work well. I bought a grip set to protect controllers. I use my quest every day for three plus hours and the battery life is incredible up to a whole week on a single AA per controller. I bought rechargeable batteries... Be aware that your batteries may die without warning. Indicator will show full battery life until dead. The head strap sucks. The quest pulls forward and is uncomfortable without an external head strap battery to balance the weight. By the way, your headset battery life is 2 hours. You need to plug it in or use the head strap battery for longer use. The visuals and resolution is good. I watch YouTube at full screen with good quality. 720p is great. 1080p is a bit of a gamble with buffering possible. Look what it costs to what you get.... I got a lot for what I paid. Overall?... I'm satisfied.Ver másVer menos
