Great price point for the specs!

I do not consider myself extremely "techie", but I am good at researching when I am making a larger purchase. I had a Moto One 5G Ace that, because of the fact that Moto does not provide updates to it's lower cost models had begun to not qualify for app updates due to security concerns.I try not to go backwards in specs, but I'm also one that has never needed a $1000+ phone to be happy.My desired specs were:-unlocked-6GB RAM +-256 GB + internal (or SD Slot available)-wi-fi calling capability-compatible with Mint Mobile-Nano sim (I'm very skeptical about e-sims)-5000mAH + battery-2024 model or later-guaranteed updates for at least 5 years-$300 or lessI was almost ready to go with the Samsung Galaxy A26 5G US model, but was hesitant. It wasn't a real noticeable upgrade from what I had previously with my Moto, and I was reading reviews that made me believe I may be a little unhappy with the speed and performance.That's when I came across this International model with great specs, and an even better price tag! I was a little worried about compatibility..... remember, I'm no "techie"! But I did some research and determined there was a pretty high chance it was compatible with Mint (which runs off of T-Mobile towers), and I compared the wireless bands listed to the bands my Moto had and found there were quite a few of the same bands. Because the seller allowed returns within 30 days, I decided to give it a try.So glad I did!!!!I will say that as another reviewer commented, this model is not the true International model, it is the Latin American model (very helpful review!), but I am still OK with the specs and have been very pleased!I switched my already in-use Mint SIM card, chose "English" as the language and had absolutely no issues getting the phone setup. Samsung has a transfer app that you can download on your old phone (mine was Moto) to transfer your apps/data from one phone to another. I found this very easy to use.-Calls and network strength have been exactly what I hoped for.-Battery life seems good. I have set the features to stop charging at 80% to hopefully take care of my battery and get better longevity out of it. Batter is very fast charging!-Within about 2 days I had adjusted to the differences between my Moto and the new Samsung and had all the settings where I wanted them.Overall, I am just tickled with the "upgrade" I got with the specs on this phone at the price point it was. Perfect for my needs!!

I managed to get away with using a Samsung Galaxy A10e for YEARS. I still have the phone, and it still runs! But it's version of Android ceased receiving updates years ago. It got to the point where I knew it was hacked; it would do all sorts of weird stuff, and said weird stuff were common symptoms of a hacked device. My father graciously gave me his Motorola G-play to use. That phone had superior battery life, and that's about it. It had no memory, so I once again found myself with a phone that couldn't be updated. Not because of age, but because there was no memory for updates. Mind, I don't use my phone that much! I use it for Discord, offline music and YouTube, and that's it!Anyway, I decided to see what was out there on Black Friday 2025, and through bouncing my thoughts, needs and desires of phone features off an AI, I found this phone.It's perfect. It's on a fairly current version of Android, it has adequate memory capacity, good RAM, and best of all, IT STILL HAS A MICROSD CARD SLOT!!!!That feature is vanishing from phones, and I thoroughly hate that!! Remember how I said I use my phone for offline music?I still prefer CDs for my music format. Not only is that from my time era, but ripping songs from CDs lets you control the quality of audio. I've backed all my CDs up, and I've got over 70 GB of music (that number is big because my ripped songs are .WAV format, so they aren't compressed like .MP3 files are). I don't want to hog phone memory with my music collection, so I must have a MicroSD card slot.So, I've got ample memory, I've got my music, so this phone has let me actually enjoy the features of a smartphone! During travel and breaks at work, I use the Google Gemini app for learning and expanding my artistic hobbies, and actually practice one of said hobbies (DIY electronics) by running Proto Circuit emulator on this phone! This phone handles it all no problem, and it's so nice to see it let me know that it has updates, which it smoothly installs without refusal!Bluetooth works great on it as well! I may be stuck in the 90's with my music media choice, but I embrace Bluetooth headphones. I've even connected my Huion Graphics tablet to this phone, and it runs it no problem!Battery life is also reasonable! It's not excellent like Motorola's G-Play, but the superior memory and RAM specs more than make up for that! The lowest I've ran the battery is 12%, which is almost at safety shutdown levels (if your phone shuts off due to low battery, leave it off until you recharge it!), but again, no complaints about battery life.I'm not the most outgoing person, so I can't speak to nuances like weight, durability, etc. But, if this phone is like my Galaxy A10e, then I've got nothing to worry about.I'd happily recommend this phone to anyone. As much as I wish I could just use this phone for decades, I know that manufacturers will keep forcing us to buy new. So, it is my hope that when it's time to replace this phone, that either this model is still available with the latest version of Android, or that Samsung has a successor model that is a good bang for the buck like this one is (and still has a MicroSD card slot!!)

Be careful, existing plans only!

Bought this phone for my mom who's been needing a new one for literal years 🥴 It works great and takes beautiful photos which is the main reason she uses it outside of calls and texts. The screen is a good size and the phone's not too heavy. Overall a solid model especially for just over $200 🤩I was initially afraid to buy it because she has Metro PCS and while Metro PCS is owed by Tmobile I wasn't sure if they used the same networks. As far as I understand you can use a Tmobile phone on Metro but not vice versa. I also was wary of the fact that it's an international phone but it was a non-issue because it was for an existing plan. Because this is specifically for "Plug and Play" if you buy this phone to start a new plan it won't work as some people have mentioned in their reviews. If you're replacing your old phone with this one on an existing plan, you're golden 👌I bought this phone back at the beginning of Dec 2025 and she's been using it for 2 months now and not a single problem or issue 😌 Hope my review was helpful.Ver más

Nice Android phone. Easy set up.

This phone is very good. Battery life is sufficient for my use. Settings easy to use. The only things I have trouble with are using the 2 buttons to take a screenshot and to shut down phone. I have a bit of arthritis in my fingers so it's a bit difficult. But otherwise I like it.Ver más
