Absolutely Amazing!!
I’ve tried countless facial cleansers over the years, but this one is hands-down the best. From the first use, I could feel how gentle yet effective it was. It leaves my skin feeling clean, refreshed, and soft—without any tightness or residue.What really impressed me is how well it removes makeup and sun screen while still being super kind to my sensitive skin. Does a good job as a face wash. Nice smell and doesn't leave residue.
I'm not sure what else I can say that hasn't been said in other reviews already. As a guy I'm not super on top of face care, but I do like to wash my face and moisturize it, as my skin dries out really easily.I have sensitive skin which means it reacts to most skincare products by getting irritated and red. Fortunately, this face wash doesn't irritate my skin at all. It lathers easily and doesn't sting my eyes. I wash it off, pat dry my face, and apply my own moisturizer that also doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. I haven't tried this brand's moisturizer so I can't really review that one here.This is a good general face cleanser. The smell is just a sort of light fresh scent. Good value for the price, hard to really fault it anywhere. I kind of also like the silly life guard aesthetic as well.Ver másVer menos

Effective, softening but
Because of the cleaning balm I was expecting this to have a oily/balmy texture but it actually looks and feels more like a gel foaming cleanser. It's clear and as I massage it onto my dry skin, it starts to dry down and has less slip compared to other oil cleansers. It doesn't really have much of a scent and truly feels fragrance-free. Once I add water it turns mildly milky and feels more slippery. It washes off all my sunscreen and light makeup (bronzer, blush and a bit of bb cream) but I'm not sure how it would do with heavier, full glam makeup. I don't suggest getting it around the eye area either as it buuurns like crazy. My skin feels soft afterwards, and can see this being better for normal to dry skin. I'm use to following up with a foaming cleanser and it doesn't feel clean enough for my oily skin to use on the daily, but I'll save this for after swim days when my skin is more sensitive.Ver másVer menos

A surprise hit!
I was expecting something totally different - texture-wise and experience-wise - with this cleanser, but it's nothing like I expected, but in the best possible way.I was anticipating a thick cream since this is listing as a "melting cleansing balm." I've used balms with that same description before and they were always a thick-ish to thick cream that melted into an oil as they were massaged into the skin and leave me feeling a little greasy unless I double-cleanse, but then it feels like my skin is stripped.Instead, the texture was a gel! It didn't produce much in the way of lather, but that's totally fine. Lather isn't necessary. It also never seemed to really change textures. It may have gotten a little bit oily as I was "lathering" it, but it was barely noticeable.When I first rinsed it off, I was a little disappointed. My skin felt like it had a film on it and I was worried I was going to need to double cleanse, but within about 5 minutes, that feeling had disappeared and I was left with incredibly soft, clean skin.For the amount you get, this is a good deal. It's going to last me a good while and at only $2.50 per ounce at the time I ordered it, it's a bargain compared to many cleansers that are equally effective or even less so.Recommended.Ver másVer menos

Great cleanser
Great cleanser and a lot of product! Cleans my face very well and doesn’t irritate it. Leaves it soft and clean and doesn’t dry out my skin

Lifeguard Facial Cleanser
Is it a cleansing balm? It seems more like a creamy gel. When I think of a balm it’s more solid and needs to be warmed and melted. This works like a typical semi-liquid with the way it lathers.Aside from that confusion it is a nice product. I didn’t detect any scent and there doesn’t appear to be added fragrance. It cleansed my face well and removed my sunscreen & makeup with ease. It is a largish tube so will last for a month or more of once daily use. Small footprint so it doesn’t take up a lot of space on the counter. Attractive presentation, I like the rocket shape.So, I tried using it like a cleansing balm. I put some in my palm warming it a little and then spread it on my face. I didn't like the consistency, it felt thick and sticky and was uncomfortable. Most of the balms that I use are creamier and glide on easily, and don't feel sticky when rubbed in. Therefore, I will be continuing to use this like a gel cleanser even if it's not the "correct" way.Ver másVer menos
