Bright, Easy to Customize & Perfect for Backyard Entertaining!
We installed the Govee S14 outdoor string lights along our backyard awning, and they completely transformed the space! The length was perfect and covered the entire awning without needing to buy an extra set, which was a huge plus.The setup was simple, and the app is very user-friendly. As long as you have a reliable Wi-Fi signal in your backyard, connecting and controlling the lights is quick and easy. I love that you can turn them on manually or set schedules so they’re ready to go every evening without having to think about it.One of my favorite features is all the lighting options. The app comes with tons of preset scenes, including fun holiday themes, and you can also create your own custom colors and effects to match any occasion. Whether we’re hosting a backyard BBQ, having friends over for a party, or just relaxing outside in the evening, there’s always a lighting mode that fits the mood.The lights are bright, look high-quality, and have made our backyard feel much more inviting. If you’re looking for smart outdoor string lights that are easy to install, simple to control with an app, and fully customizable, I highly recommend the Govee S14 lights. Bright, durable, and fully Govee-integrated outdoor string lights
This review is for the Govee S14 String Lights 2, priced at $170 for 144 feet. Each box includes three strands, one controller, and one power adapter. I needed four strands for my roofline, so I bought two boxes and now have two extra strands that I plan to use once I buy another controller and adapter. I am giving these a 5 out of 5 because they offer excellent value, strong performance, and seamless integration with the Govee ecosystem.Installing them was easy. Each bulb has a permanently attached loop on the back, and I used alligator-style clips to secure them along my roofline. The loops make the hanging process simple and sturdy, which is important for long-term outdoor use.Since I already use Govee products, these lights connected to the Govee app immediately. If you are new to Govee, setup is still straightforward. Download the app, enable Bluetooth, connect the device, enter your Wi-Fi information, and everything syncs quickly.One major benefit is that the color hues match the rest of my Govee lighting. Staying within the Govee ecosystem makes it easy to keep all lighting consistent across your home. These lights run patterns, timers, scenes, and dynamic effects without any hassle.The brightness and vibrancy are excellent. In the video I attached to my review, I used a tropical Christmas color scene along my roofline using the Marquee option, and the colors are vivid even from a distance. A single 144-foot box covers a surprising amount of space.These are now my permanent year-round roofline lights. The overall construction feels durable enough for long-term outdoor exposure, and I prefer this classic bulb style over the more permanent soffit-mounted options. Incredible, bright and colorful
These lights are great for the backyard. The app is easy to use, and the light patterns are fully customizable. The weather is no issue, as they are very durable and sealed. A great product.

Work with Alexa!
We needed some lights for our lanai. We had a few Govee lights already so it was easy to decide on these since it would be compatible with the Govee app that we already had loaded on our phone. They seem to be very well made. The plugs are weather resistant. They look like they will last years in outside conditions. They were very easy to hang. Each light has a place where you can use the enclosed zip ties to hang. There was plenty of wire at the end of the lights to reach to an outlet. I would guess 6-8 feet. There are so many different scenes you can choose from. We have it set up with Alexa so they turn on and off with a certain scene daily. We can always change the color or brightness of the lights manually with our phone if we wish. Definitely would buy these again.Ver másVer menos

These lights are great and work and we program them to turn on at sunset and off at sunrise. It is much nicer to use when dealing with 3 dogs. Setting it up is easy and value for the money is good. The durability is also good on them. The control box you will need to put inside a weatherproof box as they are not good for downpours or snow. I Highly recommend Govee products !
This is an initial and updated review all in one. First thing is, I absolutely love Govee products and the versatility of the scenes they are capable of, using the app. I own 24 flood lights, light strip pros and these string lights. They all work great. The string lights worked perfectly for almost one year, July 2025 until July 1,2026. All of a sudden, they failed to come on and every trouble shooting attempt failed. I emailed Govee directly and received an immediate response.( July 4th weekend) After a few questions they requested a video showing the problem, I also sent in two photos showing the problems. Within one day, Govee emailed me saying that they were shipping out a new replacement string of lights. I received the new lights three days later.
