Beautiful little case for the perfect ‘to go’ e-reader
I have been purchasing Fintie cases for my Kindle devices since I began buying Kindles sometime in 2009 I believe it was. They are the perfect blend of form, function, quality and price and this little beauty is no exception. I purchased this basic Kindle e-reader last month after I managed to leave yet another Paperwhite at the doctor’s office. Of course, nobody turned it just like they didn’t turn in the one the year before that or the Kindle Oasis two years before that one. But I digress. I went with this smaller model because it will fit in my purse reducing the chance of me leaving it on a chair in a waiting area.Several things were important to me when selecting a case among them the sleep-wake function, the weight of the case, protection offered and the look of the case. This case rang the bell at five stars 🌟 for me in each category. Pretty much every case I have ever had will put the device to sleep once you close the cover but, despite advertising to the contrary, not all of them will wake the device. Even though it’s simply a matter of pressing a button to turn the device on I find myself getting annoyed every time I have to fumble around for that button. Thankfully that has not been an issue with this Fintie, my device wakes as soon as I open the cover. Another important feature was the weight. What is the point of buying a device that only weighs a few ounces and then you get a case which is double or triple that weight? I once bought a case which I thought was adorable, it had a picture of an elephant sitting down wearing eyeglasses and headphones but it was so heavy that I could only read for about half an hour before my wrist began aching. That taught me a hard lesson I used that case for about a week because I didn’t think to see how much the case weighed. This is a slim fit case and in place of the device sliding into a frame with cushioning your e-reader slips down into a fitted frame where it is held firmly and securely, there is no movement. The inside cover is a grey felt which will not scratch the surface of your device. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder is an old adage for a reason, what I think is gorgeous you may look at it and wonder if someone puked on it. I looked at the cases available for this Kindle, and not just those sold by Fintie, and this is the case my mind kept coming back to. I am SO NOT an artist (you can’t even tell what my stick figures are supposed to be) but that doesn’t prevent me from knowing what I like. I was drawn to not only the different shades of grey but the placement of them, the same with the minimal amount of black used but what really elevated for me was the outlining and highlighting with the gold and the white. Mayhaps I don’t get out enough but this case seemed very interesting and unique to me. I can honestly say I have never owned one that looked anything like this. I’m sure that as much as I like this case there will be plenty of people who read this review who look at the photo and think it’s the ugliest case they have ever seen. It’s all good cuz Fintie has many other styles to choose from, why not pop over and pick out one for yourself. Have a blessed day y’all. 😇Ver másVer menos
