From the first spray, it’s incredibly refreshing with a clean, vibrant scent that feels uplifting and satisfying every time I wear it. Rare Reef starts with a huge punch of very accurate orange peel and a more mild grapefruit, citrus, and mint edging almost slightly sharp and synthetic depending on application and maturation. It then hits a warmer and slightly sweeter ambiguous citrus, floral, and spicy fresh mid that feels much more complex of a scent overall. You get a bit of the florals more predominantly, then the spicy fresh, with just that small hint of a vaguely citrus fruit profile in the back that seems much warmer than the orange peel start. Surprisingly from the mid to the dry down not a whole lot develops it stays pretty linear however that is not to say that this scent lacks depth I'd say compared to a lot of fresh scents this has much more depth than you would expect. The major thing with the dry down is you mostly move from a fresher sweetness to a slightly warmer sweetness that keeps the fresh spicy notes around.This fragrance is very much a spring and summer day time scent but would be perfectly acceptable on any warmer day year round. I would not say this is appropriate for evenings unless you are just trying to freshen up a tad as a bit of a mid day or evening lift. This scent has incredible performance lasting seemingly longer than almost any other fresh scent I've tried and it has a very strong projection very noticeable at almost all points of the fragrance.Again I believe this isn't the most versatile scent it is very solidly in the range of a warm-hot day maybe even being slightly strong for the hottest days of the year depending on your area because of just how strong of a performer this is. I would personally say this is masculine leaning but it is more like a unisex that simply leans in that direction more than anything.In my experience this has a maturation time from a fresh purchase otherwise it will lack the citrus notes deeper into the scent and is almost overwhelmingly hitting a fresh spicy almost harshness. I suggest spraying this 3-5 times every third day for a couple weeks and letting it sit in a dark cool non humid area in order to properly develop the full range of the fragrance. Never store this or any fragrance in a bathroom to avoid humidity and temperature changes and avoid direct light on the bottle.Ver másVer menos

Masculine and Blind-Buy Safe, Feel-Good Fragrance! Highly Recommend!
If you're just starting a fragrance collection, or if you're looking for a fragrance that will put a smile on your face and make you feel good...look no further. This is sold as unisex, but perfectly safe for a male to wear. There's a lot going on with this fragrance and to the untrained nose, wear it for a few days and it will grow on you. This is an Extrait De Parfum so be conservative on the number of sprays you use. For the trained nose, this smells like a twist of the LV Pacific Chill. It is not a 1 for 1, but something much stronger with pretty great longevity. The longevity, strength/projection and scent profile will differ person to person due to their individual skin chemistry. Remember that spraying a fragrance on a tester strip is not the same as spraying directly on your skin and allowing it a few minutes to dry down. Let me say that...even though this is not a 1 to 1 of Pacific Chill, this is still a very uplifting and long-lasting fragrance that I would say is safe for a blind buy. Lastly, the box that the fragrance arrives in feels up-scale and the bottle is heavy and high quality for its size. You cannot go wrong if you're looking for a fragrance for mid-spring through late fall. I'm pretty certain this would also perform well in the winter months.Here's a breakdown of the note profile:Top Notes: Black Currant, Orange, Citron, Mint, Coriander, Grapefruit.Middle Notes: Apricot, Basil, Rose, Violet Leaf.Base Notes: Fig, Dates, Ambrette, Amberwood.Finally, make sure you do your homework and purchase from a verified seller/store on Amazon. An ideal "safe" store could look like: 4.5-5.0 Stars (Reviews), store name that is connected to a US-based LLC, be sure to look at the number of sales in the last 12 months and read the reviews. A safe blind buy
Rare Reef Men’s Fragrance ReviewPresentation (2/5): The box has a luxury look and feel, but unfortunately the bottle does not sit securely inside. It’s a very loose and sloppy fit, and if you’re not careful when opening, the bottle can fall right out. Because of this design flaw, I can only give the presentation box 2 out of 5 stars.Bottle & Sprayer (4/5): The bottle itself is heavy, sturdy, and well-designed. Where it truly shines, though, is the sprayer. It’s easily one of the best sprayers I’ve ever used at this price point—smooth, even, and delivers just the right amount of fragrance.Scent (4/5): The fragrance opens with a perfect blend of citron, grapefruit, orange, and mint. It’s clean, fresh, and uplifting. The middle notes are dominated by a delicious apricot and basil accord, while the citrus top notes linger for at least the first hour on my skin. The base notes are subtle to the point that I don’t really detect them, but the middle notes remain noticeable for about 4 hours, projecting in a bubble at arm’s length. Over the next 2 hours, that bubble gradually moves closer to the skin.After the 6-hour mark, it becomes more of a skin scent—but here’s the surprise: walking through a breezeway with a decent wind actually revived the scent bubble. Even more impressive, later that night after showering (with unscented soap), my wife noticed the fragrance again, saying it had popped back up with a noticeable bubble.Overall: Rare Reef is a fresh, clean, and versatile fragrance with excellent sprayer performance and solid longevity for its price. While the box presentation leaves much to be desired, the scent itself is a winner and worth adding to your collection.Ver másVer menos

Nice and fresh scent
I like this scent a lot. Very fresh and sweet. But I’m not exactly sure how long it lasts as yet. I’m still trying that out. But it’s definitely worth the money and I would recommend it.

Definitely a keeper.
Listen read all the reviews took several days to consider getting this so I took the leap and man this cologne is amazing. I will say this cologne is a Extrait de Parfum my first and the projection in these colognes are better for my first try I see. It stays closer to the skin but when you in the room you smell yourself..LOL..the cologne I mean..:) and by the way I tested a spot at home on my arm just to see and it lasted until this morning so if its like this on the skin I can only imagine on the cloths.
