You'll want more ram, more hard drive, a faster processor, and a larger screen size. A 9"x12" piece of paper is a 15 inch laptop screen, while this is an 11 inch laptop screen. Works fine at 110% display. Most annoyances experienced are related to these wants or lack of operating system experience. You're going to want a 128GB USB drive so you can quickly back up your files and then Powerwash through settings which you'll probably redo a few times until the apps are ideal and no menu icons are glitching. You will find that not every app has a visible icon in Settings Apps list. A lot of junk apps are included, but the only one that is truly gold, text, is going to be deprecated by Google. Runs 3 Google Play apps at a time before issues. Reign in Chrome with extensions uBlock Origin Scope, NoScript, and DecentralEyes(It'll be more work at first, but nice in the long run). Runs some educational games and educational applications well. Runs Linux 'Debian Bookworm' fine and many new applications installed through the command line are automatically added to the graphic menu. Vim, the text editor, is accessible immediately through the graphic menu after Linux is installed, is offline and completely independent of the cloud/network/Google Play licensing delays, has four decades of fixes, making writing through Vim quick to start and preferred for use, but only through an administrative account. Otherwise, Writer Journal app works well. Much of the joy of this laptop comes after trying your different apps to keep the ones that look and play nice and uninstalling anything that doesn't. Art wise, ArtFlow and RoughAnimator along with a Wacom Medium Tablet is good(StitchSketchEX Mobile for pixel art). Magi Ann apps work fullscreen after their first app crash... actually, I haven't found a Welsh app that didn't work. Other language apps are hit or miss. My Little Pony Story Creator, BeeArtist, and Wagotabi work especially well for some reason. CrunchyRoll and Manga Plus work very well, also. GPG can keep your Vim writing safe and EDS NG, a bit pricey, can do Veracrypt on the Google Play end. KeePassDX works. eSword is the Bible App that works well on this, along with the gaelic dialects Ap Beibl, Bioball, and Biobla. As already said, what works on this thing is very random. If it's not running in a shell, I expect full screen. HamStudy and RepeaterBook, which will appeal to anyone who hates spam calls on their smartphone. Iglesia Ni Cristo Sign Language, BSL Zone, nTouch, DM Video, Godot Docs, Debian Doc, Rustroid, Conversations, CoreIRC, Omber Pro, OneDrive, Prime Video, VLC, ラジオFM日本(this one is fantastic 😊), Salvation Army Hymns, RPG Scribe, Silent Notes, RPG Simple Dice PLUS, Spending Tracker, Unbalance'sザ°花札 (couldn't tell you why this is the only unbalance app that works well, but it's koikoi, a 2 person game, and flower arranging which looks like it's 88, a 3 person game - 88 plays like a sort of poker, only think 12 seasons of 4 rather than thinking 4 suits of 13.), Appzitter Technologies LLP apps seem to work(classic games), and ColorSpatioplotterEX works. Briar may work. Cubasis, Tokaido, Kaomoji+, Physiology and Pathology by Visible Body, Obenkyo, LifeUp Pro, Learn CSS - Pro, Learn HTML - Pro, Learn JavaScript - Pro, Python Tutorial - Pro, and LingoDeer works. I couldn't rightly say the Open Sign Language (Korean Sign Language) app works, since the videos are elongated, but it does full screen properly. i2p works as long as the i2p browser is clicked on for opening pages. Google Family parental controls work well through the administrator's account for a child account on the same device, but if Google changes apps that do this later, this feature may not work in the future. You may find it more convenient to use Microsoft Authenticator and OneDrive over Google Drive, which this laptop lets you do. Any 3D modeling is limited to Maverick 3D modeler through Linux(administrator account required) and Live Home 3D Pro(Google Play purchase shared with children accounts). This review is about the 4GB/64GB version.
