Perfect Everyday 15" Laptop – The M4 MacBook Air Nails It
I picked up the 2025 15-inch MacBook Air with the M4 chip (16GB unified memory, 256GB SSD, Midnight color) as my main work and personal machine after using the previous Windows notebook. Right away, the bigger 15.3" Liquid Retina display is a noticeable upgrade—more screen real estate for multitasking, editing photos, or just enjoying movies without feeling cramped. The colors are vibrant, brightness is plenty for indoor/outdoor use, and the bezels are slim enough to keep it looking modern.Performance is excellent for what I do: heavy web browsing with 20+ tabs, photo editing in Lightroom/Photoshop, streaming, light video cuts in iMovie, and running multiple productivity apps simultaneously. The M4 chip handles it all effortlessly—apps launch instantly, no thermal throttling or fan noise even during longer sessions. It stays cool and silent, which is huge for a thin laptop. Battery life is still class-leading; I easily get 14-16 hours of mixed use (web, docs, Zoom calls, some media), and it charges super fast with the included adapter. The 12MP Center Stage camera is sharp for video calls, and the mics pick up clear audio without background noise. Touch ID is as reliable as ever for quick logins and Apple Pay. The keyboard feels great (good travel, quiet), trackpad is massive and precise, and the speakers are surprisingly good—nice bass and clarity for a laptop this slim.Midnight finish looks sleek (though it shows fingerprints a bit more than Silver or Starlight), but the build quality is Apple-solid: lightweight yet sturdy, premium feel all around. 16GB RAM as standard is a smart move—no more swapping or slowdowns like on older 8GB configs. The 256GB storage is fine for my cloud-heavy workflow, but if you store a lot locally, consider bumping it up.Overall, it's the best MacBook Air yet—beautiful screen, insane efficiency, and future-proof with Apple Intelligence features starting to roll out (writing tools and image generation already feel useful in daily tasks). For the price, it's an outstanding value if you're in the Apple ecosystem or want a long-lasting, powerful ultrabook. No regrets—this thing is my daily driver and then some. 5 stars.Ver másVer menos
