  Huge TV… HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT….DEAD AFTER 8 DAYS.

I have service coming tomorrow for this 8 day old tv that was delivered and professionally installed for $265, mounted to my wall. After 8 days it just clicks and the red LED light blinks on the tv then goes out. Then after several minutes lights back up. I have reviewed all the service recommendations and gone through all the reset options to rectify the issue with no resolution. At this point I have Samsung authorized service coming tomorrow but they informed me that Samsung had a run of bad capacitors in their power supplies and that if it is a power board issue, which is exactly what it is according to all the information, that it will be 12 weeks for the part and the repair. 12 weeks. A $4500 tv that lasted only 8 days. Now a 3 month wait, most likely, for parts and repair. Thank GOD I saved the box and packing. I almost put it out for recycling but it was a really windy week. I am going to return this tv if they can’t get it working at this service visit. I have had great luck with Samsung in the past, my laundry and kitchen appliances are all Samsung and most of my tvs have been Samsung for the last 15 years. I guess my luck ran out with this one.Ver másVer menos

Good TV, Bad Art Store Promotion, Too Much Advertising

Great picture and the art looks much better on the wall than the large black rectangle. The sound is passable for a thin TV but forces the choice between OK-sound and the bad aesthetics of a soundbar. The offer of two years of free art isn't really a scam--it's just so amazingly poorly executed it feels like it. After many hours of effort and several frustrating form responses to the wrong problems from Samsung support, I gave up. Fortunately, more and better art, pre-formatted for the Frame, can be purchased on Etsy for a fraction of the Samsung Art Store's $49.95 annual subscription. Glad I wasn't able to subscribe. Finally, Samsung's chaotic user interface takes up a large part of the screen with paid advertising, and most of the rest is promotion of Samsung's TV Plus channels with all their advertising. Crass and mercenary. I didn't spend 1000s for Samsung to put their ads on my living room wall. It makes Apple TV's friendly interface tempting.But..., the picture is nice, and the art on the wall looks wonderful.Ver másVer menos
