Decent comfort but nothing stands out.

First, I should note that these run a little big but not enough to pick a new size. I normally wear a size 10, selected that for this pair, and they're a little loose. I've had these shoes for about 1.5 months, wearing them 3-4 times a week. The advertising around this product suggests the shoes have good grip and are comfortable, durable, and washable. I'll consider those areas for this review. Comfort is definitely a strong point, with nice cork-covered foam insoles providing extra cushioning on top of an already spongy feeling outsole. However, comfort is somewhat affected by the sizing concerns, with the shoes flip-flopping or slapping my heel a bit and not fitting securely. Durability is a bit lacking as the outsole has worn considerably after rather little use (you can sort of see that, especially on the left shoe, in my photo). I can't imagine these lasting more than a season based on that early wear, and that definitely affects the overall rating considering the price point. In a similar vein, I definitely wouldn't call these "grippy" shoes. The early wear and the relatively smooth surface overall means these are average-to-poor in terms of traction. I did wash the shoes following the instructions in the product listing, and that worked surprisingly well. The upper came out slightly faded but refreshed.Overall, it's hard to consider these more than a single-seasons or relatively short term shoe, which is difficult to align with the $55-60 price point. Ultimately, the durability concerns cancel out the comfort and leave this at a 3 for me - average for the category overall, with nothing particularly exceptional that would elevate the rating.Ver másVer menos

Perfect summer lightweight shoes with great style

Review of PITAS Men’s Steve Slip-On Loafers | Comfortable & Lightweight | Casual Footwear for Men | Beige (11, Beige)These shoes are perfect for casual summer outings. They’re exceptionally lightweight and really do feel like I’m walking on soft pillows. So so comfortable! I’m an exact mens 11 and they fit perfectly. The elastic laces are great because they add style without having the hassle of tying knots. I know they will scuff up easily, so I won’t be wearing these on unpaved trails or to very grassy picnics, for example.🟢 PROS:* exceptionally lightweight* very breathable* super soft — like walking on pillows* fantastic summer style!* look great barefoot and with socks (see my photos)* perfect roomy fit for men size 11* includes extra laces in case the yellow is too bold for you🔴 CONS:* the leather logo patches on each tongue are off-center — an odd look* will get dirty easily — though the seller says they’re machine washable* too lightweight to wear off pavement — I feel rocks through the soft soles — no deductions for these cons because they don’t claim to be suitable for hiking or off-road activities… they’re just nice casual shoes!Earns 5 stars because these are perfect summer lightweight shoes with great style.Ver másVer menos
