Squeaky clean floors, solved issues I had with vacuums of the past.
I love this thing. My floors have never been cleaner. The device is easy to set up and even easier to use. I have been using robot vacuums for the last 20 years, from Roomba to Neato, and keep them forever. I have only owned three others total and have appreciated the upgrades that came with each generation. I loved my Neatos, but when they got bought off I had to look for a other brand. Roborock was recommended online due to its customer service and reliability. I have been wanting a model that self empties, and of course mopping seemed like a distant fantasy. I bought this on sale at the right time, got the best of both worlds and have not regretted it!My main challenges over the years have been that the dustbin fills up too fast with pet hair, and the devices seem to get stuck in tricky corners or between the walls and certain furniture. I have essentially had to babysit the vacuums in the past which really doesn't lend itself to effortless cleaning. This was easy to set up and connect to the app, and, the initial mapping was super fast, I think it took 5 minutes on each floor of the house. You can let it do its own thing using AI cleaning mode if you don't like to mess with settings, but it has a lot of options to customize your cleaning routine, and has pre built routines for common needs like "after meals" which would vacuum and mop your kitchen and dining room. The good thing, is that it has a smart AI mode which adjust the settings based on your cleaning history and dirt levels. So if you like simplicity, you can literally just walk over to it, hit the clean button, and let it dunits thing. The app is great, but if you don't like apps, you can just use the buttons on the machine for simplicity. It has one for clean and one for dock. The docking is fantastic by the way, and I never had an issue with it not being aligned right.I've solved my pet hair overflow issue by setting a routine that deep vacuums wash room then empties before moving on to the next one. After that routine is done, I have one for deep mopping that I run.The default vacuum+mop mode that runs might be the fastest, but isn't the best at cleaning or for the machine if you have more than very light dirt. It vacuums and mops at the same time, which wets the pads and dirt that the vacuum head doesn't pick up, and on the next pass, it sucks up the wet dirt. This causes it to cake in the vacuum nozzle, and needs to be cleaned out periodically. The mop pads will also drag hair until it gets to carpet then leave a trail.I feel that daily mopping is overkill in my house, so I stick with having it just vacuum, then mopping once a week or more where it's needed after vacuuming. The mopping quality is great but be careful to just use plain water, or cleaners formulated for vac mops. It sits in the machine and goes through pumps, so many cleaners and concoctions can ruin and corrode the parts of you aren't careful. My floors literally squeak when you walk on them after cleaning. They have never done that even with manual mopping. Only if I get down and scrum and rinse by hand.I have a lot to say about how great this machine is and could go on forever. I'm hopeful Roborocks reputation for longevity holds up. Getting this is the next best thing to having someone clean for you. It really is worry free and doesn't require babysitting once you get it set up. You should still pick up cords and larger debris before running it, but it does a good job at avoiding obstacles and not eating socks. I highly recommend you get this if you are on the fence, especially of it's on sale.Ver másVer menos
