  Perfect fit

  Took me a minute to understand how to slip-in the remote. Works and fits perfectly, the glowing in the dark thing also works amazingly. And the main reason I bought it was because I have kids and the remote ends up in the floor a lot of time, making this cover excellent for protection.Ver másVer menos

  Poor Quality and Compatibility Issues

  I purchased this Replacement TCL Google TV Remote Control, hoping it would work seamlessly with my TCL QM8 TV, but it turned out to be a disappointing experience. While the remote is advertised as compatible with a wide range of TCL models, including the QM8, it didn’t function as expected.First, the build quality feels cheap and flimsy. The buttons are stiff and unresponsive, and some of them don’t work at all. The directional pad, in particular, is frustrating to use—it either doesn’t register presses or requires multiple attempts to get a response. This makes navigating menus a chore rather than a smooth experience.Another significant issue is the lack of proper compatibility. Despite being labeled as compatible with the QM8, the remote failed to pair correctly with my TV. Even after following the instructions multiple times, it only worked intermittently, and some functions, like voice control, didn’t work at all. This defeats the purpose of having a replacement remote that’s supposed to replicate the original.The remote also feels laggy, with noticeable delays between pressing a button and the action being executed on the TV. This is incredibly annoying when trying to fast-forward or rewind during streaming.Lastly, the battery compartment is poorly designed, making it difficult to insert and remove batteries without feeling like you will break them.Overall, this replacement remote is a letdown. It doesn’t live up to its claims of compatibility or functionality, and the poor build quality makes it feel like a waste of money.   Great in a pinch

  For the price tag these are great. My dogs destroyed my original remote so ordered one of these as a replacement. Then my grandson slammed it on coffee table and it was done for. So I ordered another. I do feel the quality is much better the 2nd time around as the 1st one felt a lil flimsy. Love that all you have to do is put batteries in it and it works, no programing needed. One down fall is not all the pre set buttons work. 1st remote only 1 of em worked and now this one 2 of them work.Ver másVer menos

  Does not glow

  Extremely easy set up and use with my 75” TCL. Exact same remote except the bottom brand buttons are slightly different than original. And the buttons DO NOT glow.

  Does not have "Back"/"Return" button for Roku

  First of all, there appeares to be different remotes on these reviews. Mine is the square one that has the multicolored ABCD buttons near the top, with the circular directional button below.Controller seems to be made really well and functions with my Philips TV. However, the reason I bought it was to also use with Roku. Works with Roku, except there is no back button. So, in order to go back a screen you have to completely exit out of the app and reopen it and navigate there again. Unfortunately this is something that seems to be common across many universal remotes. I'm giving it two stars because it seems to be made well, however it doesn't provide all the functionality for the devices that it claims to support.Ver másVer menos
