I’ll admit there were part that just did not do it for me, there are triggers for a reason. So that’ll be my warning to you. It’s was honestly a roller coaster ride the whole way through. A Page Turner.
Super spicy….. Almost too spicy. I got desensitized to it. However, the story itself was great. I was on my toes during the whole book. I was wondering what was real and what wasn’t. I wondered if characters were alive or not and who the stalker was. Be sure to read the triggers because there are a lot of wild things that happen on page. This book was wild, intense, and kept you hooked wanting to know more. The many twists and turns in this story shows you how UNHINGED dear Xero is! It’s Touch Her and Die to the ultimate power. Xero will find, protect, and possess Amethyst at any length. Her childhood is a blur and has her questioning reality at every turn. Please make sure you check those trigger warnings. Yes, the infamous Chapter 88 that everyone talks about having to put the book down and walk away for a while; I LOVED it!! Xero has me in a chokehold!! I highly recommend listening to the audiobook to get the full effect of it all. Ends with a cliffhanger so be sure to jump right on in and read Book 2 - I Will Mend You!Ver másVer menos

Plot Twists
Great for plot twists you never see coming. Very dark. Some trigger warnings seem unnecessary to add hype.

Xero & Amethyst
Wholly Guacamole Batman! That was a deliciously twisted, fabulously written story! Just brilliant! It took me longer to get through than normal bcz I would take (preemptive) periodic breaks but it never got so bad that I actually needed those breaks. It hovered on the edge a few times,but I managed to deal & that is a remarkable trait for a writer to have, where they evoke without being unnecessarily vile. I waited to start this book for over a year and now I hate that I waited so long, bcz it was so well done, even with the cliffhanger. I purchased the audio version and I think Theodore Zephyr is my new favorite male narrator. He was spectacular as was Madison Mitts. The audio brings the book to another level. adding Gigi Styx to my favorite author list & am starting book 2 without delay! I highly recommended.Ver másVer menos

Slow to start but finished strong
So I had no idea what I was getting into with this book. And I did immersive with the audiobookAmethyst was a rollercoaster of a person. I knew she had a back story but seriously the girl definitely had issues. I loved how little things proved to be bigger plot points and the author gave a slow burn on the reveal of who and what she was. Leaving you questioning your own sanity right along with her.Now Xero, my kind of unhinged. Morally black for all the right reasons. He did not play about Amethyst. Seemingly a charismatic unhinged serial killer was just the tip of the iceberg. This story starts to unfold and the house of cards starts to tumble all because of Xero crazy obsessive self. And I loved every bit of it.To be completely honest at times this book became frustrating because I wanted to know and understand everything like was he a ghost or not and just as it gets to it bam cliff hanger! 😳 I was so ready to get it and was left with my mouth open.
