  Not Full 10G Speed with Ubiquiti

  I'm returning this item because this DAC in a Ubiquiti Enterprise 8 POE SPF+ 10G port connected to a Ubiquiti SPF+ 10G Aggregation Switch tested at 801 Mbps erratically with dips to 450 Mbps in an iperf3 test. I could not get the advertised 10G throughput with Ubiquiti gear and this 3 meter DAC.Substituting a pair of 10Gtek 10GBase-LR SFP+ transceivers (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LSGGP76) and a fiber optic link between those same Ubiquiti units delivered 2.35 Gbps as expected from a PC with a 2.5 Gbps RJ45 Ethernet port connected via 10 feet of CAT 5e to the Ubiquiti Enterprise 8 2.5 Gbps RJ45 Ethernet port. Forcing the DAC's negotiation to 1 Gbps improved the throughput to 947 Mbps but never delivered the expected 2.35 Gbps.A cable shorter than 3 meters would probably have worked better.Ver másVer menos

  1 meter worked but 3 meter didn't work

  1 meter cable worked fine on ES-16XG ubiquiti but 3 meter didn't work at all. Also 1 meter worked only on one dual port X512-SR port and not on other for some reason.
