A Functional, Portable, and High-Quality Monitor! ♡
♡ Hello,I have been thinking about purchasing a monitor for some time, and just a few days ago, I came across this KYY 15.6" laptop monitor.After doing some research, I knew very quickly that this was the right choice for me.As you can see in my attached image, it is absolutely wonderful and has exceeded my expectations! I have a 14-inch MacBook Pro (M5), and installing the software for this monitor was a simple, seamless process. It can also connect to power, which is a wonderful feature that will allow me to use it for long periods of time.This monitor works so well for my unique purposes, which are primarily schoolwork for my Master's program, browsing the internet, and streaming Spotify. It feels durable and well-made, and so far, I enjoy having it standing up (as you can see in my attached image) as opposed to using the stand; though if I wanted to, I know I would be able to adjust the angle as needed. That being said, it feels incredibly stable!Additionally, this monitor is incredibly portable, which was a major deciding factor in my purchase. It folds up and fits into a laptop sleeve. Once I have it in there, I can put it in a computer bag for easy transport.All in all, this KYY monitor is working so well for me, so much so that it makes me look forward to my work as I have all of this screen space available to me!I appreciate you taking the time to read my review!Samantha ♡Ver másVer menos

Phenomenal laptop-specific dual display — clean, portable, and worth every penny
I’ve used many multi-monitor setups over the years, and this KYY 15.6" laptop screen extender is the first laptop-specific dual display setup I’ve used that truly feels practical, polished, and easy to live with. It is a phenomenal product.I mainly use it for work, especially email and AI-related tasks, where having extra screen space makes a huge difference. Instead of constantly switching between windows, I can keep my email, browser, documents, and AI tools open at the same time. It immediately made my workflow feel faster and more organized.What impressed me most was how easy the driver and hardware setup were. The physical setup is clean, the design is clearly made with laptops in mind, and it avoids the clutter that comes with many traditional multi-monitor setups. Fewer cables, less hassle, and a much cleaner workstation whether I’m at a desk or working somewhere else.The build quality also exceeded my expectations, especially for the cost. It feels sturdy and well-designed, and the portability is a major advantage. Compared with other multi-monitor arrangements I’ve used, this is far easier to set up, move around, and actually use day to day.For anyone who works heavily from a laptop and wants a more productive setup without carrying around a complicated mess of monitors, stands, and cables, this is an outstanding solution. Get it! Is great, specially at this price
I have no negative things to say about it. It is well package when arrive. Great unboxing experience. Fells like a quality product not a cheap plastic light weight screen. Image is great, it has built in speakers so you can even connect your firestick or alexa cube to it and use it as a portable TV. Comes with a protective cover like the ones you use on a tablet that protect the back amd the front of the screen. Jason may ways to connect it to your laptop or even your cellphone as an external monitor. I have been using and traveling with this for several months now amd have not even one bad thing to say about it. Even people ask me where did I get it, it looks great,! Probably really expensive. They ask for it when I tell them the price. It has all the wires needed to connect. The hdmi cable, the usb and the protective cover. It is bigger than my laptop and I really love this portable screen. Do I recommend it? Absolutely! I upload a video to show the audio of it. Remember was recorded from a cellphone so not awesome but audio is not bad at all for a portable monitor.Ver másVer menos

Excellent value
For the price, I'm pleased with it. I'm a developer, and when I'm away from my quad-mon office setup, I feel totally lost on a single screen. This screen is big and clear enough to use for email/Slack while I'm working on my MBP's main screen, and that helps a ton just so that I'm not constantly switching windows as much. Is it the brightest, sharpest screen ever - no. It's also like sixty bucks, and just requires a single USB connection, no separate power cord required, which is huge for me.The one thing I'm not a huge fan of is the case/stand. As others have noted, the grooves are too shallow, so when you stand the screen up, anything more than a slight bump can knock it over. It basically feels like a cheap knockoff of the original iPad cases.Ver másVer menos

Good product with major problem (Updated)
Updated from 3 stars to 5 since their customer service team promptly sent a replacement and I haven't had issues since!This is a decent product for its price, except for one major issue I had that made it unusable (see my tragic tale below). I probably gave it too many stars because I really want to like it and most everything else seems good about the product.Pros:-Great price-Very portable and light-Perfect size for travel-Easy to set up and use-Comes with multiple adapter cables-Brightness response time is fine for office workCons:-Has to be plugged in to be used (no internal battery). Although, you can just plug the USB power cable into your laptop-Stand is a little finicky and only has one angle to set the monitor at. This can't be stood up anywhere other than a stable flat surface.Major con:-Not durable, lasted 2 weeks before breaking.I travel for work and carry this in my computer bag so I can set it up at my hotel room desk. This worked great on my first trip and had me feeling hollywood movie hacker working twice the speed any normal human should perform at. Delusions of grandeur quickly crashed back down to reality as on my second trip after only 2 weeks of owning the monitor, the screen broke. This sent me back to using the just the laptop monitor like the one-screen peasant I am.It put the monitor in a thick laptop case and then in my protected computer compartment of my computer bag. I have been placing multiple laptops here for 2 years and have had no issues at all. When I took the monitor out from the bag, the screen was broken as shown in the attached picture. I assure you that I am very careful with my bag and didn't drop or bang it.I realize this anyone reading this will think something like "look at this idiot that dropkicked his monitor and is acting surprised when it broke". But I really feel like treated it with the respect that the newborn tech baby deserved from it's proud new gadget owning dad... In case I really am just an abusive negligent father, I ordered another one to give it last try. I can only hope it lives a long and fulfilling life, unlike my goldfish in Kindergarten that my little sister removed from the tank so she could "take it for a walk". That said, since this is a PORTABLE monitor it I think it should be at least somewhat close in durability to the laptop I use with it.

TRULY one cord & easy to set up
Truly one cord! Quick & easy driver download that didn’t disrupt my laptop at all. Screens hold their positions, nice and wide. I tried 3 other screen extenders that didn’t work, hold up etc! This one was great!Only change I would make is include a case for it and could add a kickstand extension. Still great product without though!Ver másVer menos

Bright 👍, hi-res 👍, portable 👍. Beefy 👍; heavy 👎. Macos can't do color calibration (maybe 👌).
Great product works just fine and has bright images with lots of contrast and good color. Does not work directly with the Mac's video drivers -- you have to use the included software to capture and translate the screen signal. That means you're trusting the software to not "phone home" with screen snaps. It also means that the built-in screen calibrations for Mac don't work. But the color, brightness, and resolution are good, and the real estate is undeniably fabulous.The unit is beefier than many, and that comes with a cost -- it's nearly 5 lbs. That makes it heavier than my actual laptop. I'll definitely be carrying it on travel, but will probably leave it in the hotel room most of the time.Ver másVer menos

Fantastic setup… UNTIL one screen failed after only about 6 months
I purchased this KYY monitor setup around February and, up until now, I’ve genuinely loved it. I use it heavily for day trading and it has been a fantastic setup for giving me the extra screen space I need.Unfortunately, it is now August and one of the screens has already failed. The lower portion of the display suddenly became covered in vertical colored lines and is basically unusable. There was no drop, impact, or physical damage it simply failed during normal use.That’s obviously extremely disappointing for a product that is only about six months old, especially because I rely on this setup for trading and now I’m essentially unable to use my normal workstation.I’ve contacted KYY support and sent them photos of the issue, so I’m going to see how they handle it. I’m leaving this review based on the product failure as it stands now, but I will absolutely update it depending on how quickly and professionally KYY resolves the problem.The product itself has honestly been great when it works. Best companion for Macbook Air
I’ve been using this monitor for almost a month and am quite happy with its performance. First of all, the connectivity is super easy and quick with the provided two-way USB-C cable. The monitor is always in ‘ready-to-use’ mode. The folding stand allows you to position the monitor at any convenient angle. Second, the display is crisp, soothing to the eyes with no glare and no blur. Third, but not the least, the battery life and charging is really good. Great portable monitor
Been using for over a month now as 3rd screen (with two full size monitors) and it's great. Fits perfectly under my monitors between them and my keyboard. Just plug and play and you just need to set the position in the extend display settings so your mouse moves the way you want.Ver másVer menos
