Finally - An external SSD that works and keeps working
I have had so many SSDs that were absolutely junk I decided to spend a bit more and took a chance on this. I now trust this with my back up and it works great for recording mp3 music and plugging into the car with a few hundred albums so I can roll with tunes. Haven't had a bit of a problem or a lost file. I'm ordering a second one for my business file back ups. Don't let the small size fool you.Ver másVer menos

Nice Sleek SSD
This is a nice sleek little solid state drive. I love the machined aluminum enclosure on it, it feels really high-end and provides some nice heat dissipation for this unit. It seems to hit pretty good speeds on my laptop, I don't have a USB 3.2 port so I wasn't able to test its full speed, but even on my old USB 3.0 ports I was able to hit speeds of over 100 MB per second.I'll note that my computer doesn't read it as being 512 GB, but rather 476 GB. This is fairly normal as there's a difference between how gigabytes are calculated and how your computer reads them. A little annoying, but it's very normal for these types of hard drives.I love the little cable that comes with it and that it comes with a little plastic clip to hold it tight together, you can even attach it to the carrying strap of this drive so you can keep everything nicely together.Overall I'm very happy with this little drive and I would definitely recommend it!Ver másVer menos

It's ok, Gets hot though.
This SSD is alright, it's small & compact, it adds a reasonable amount of storage, but I don't know if it's the best option for some people.For the price you're paying, you could get a quality m.2 with an external case adapter that would do better than this does, but the downside to that would be that it's less rugged.The SSD in this might not be of the greatest quality as it gets quite hot & the speeds are alright but not great, It would definitely be a decent option if you have no other option than to use an external SSD & need something that you can just throw in a bag & not have to worry about.The heat generated during use is a little bit worrying, while not too hot, It's hot enough new that It worries me that it won't last too long, especially if it gets even hotter after a while.Overall, It's an alright option for some use cases, If you're looking to upgrade the storage of something you don't move around a lot though, I think you should go with an M.2 SSD & an external case instead for a better result.Ver másVer menos

Great for techs
There isn't too mucgh to say about this. I wish I had one sooner. Up until now I used an old NVMe drive in an enclosure to move data back and forth for my work. It worked well and I have no complaints, but this is plan better. First, it is smaller. Much smaller than the enclosure I was using before. I carry enough in by bag already and the smaller footprint helps. Also this is lighter. Not a huge difference on paper, but when you are lugging a whole bag of tech supplies everywhere, every little bit helps. It is also very well made.The speed isn't the greatest. I have not seen anywhere close to a 10Gb tranfer rate. But for my use it's more than good enough. I also have no issues with heat even when I am transferring a ton of data.Overall, this is a great product and one I would recommend.Ver másVer menos

Solid Compact External SSD
Nice little storage device! The body feels solid and has a good weight to it, with a rigid aluminum shell that gives you some peace of mind when tossing it into your bag. I like that it came with its own USB-C cable, which fits snugly and pairs nicely with the drive.Performance-wise, speeds were solid and in line with what I’d expect for a portable SSD in this range. I’ve been using it to transfer a mix of file types and sizes, and haven’t noticed any issues. It does warm up a bit after heavy use, but nothing unusual.
