Not just for tablets - great for music studio!
I use these in my music studio to support gear on my desktop. They work great as they are super flexible for different sizes of gear. Gear is sturdy when seated on this stand thanks to the non-slip padded surfaces, and the adjustability makes it easy to get the angle you need for easy operation. Sets up in seconds, and is very compact when closed up and stored. Seems to have good build quality so should last for a good long time, too.Ver másVer menos

Great for portable Monitor
Perfect for travel! I use this stand on business trips with my portable monitor, and it works great. It’s lightweight, folds up easily in my bag, and feels sturdy once set up. The adjustable angles make it easy to get the perfect viewing position. Excellent value and very convenient for working on the go. Highly recommend!Ver másVer menos

Works great even for larger than rated screens
Bought this to use with my 16" portable USB C monitor after reading several reviews that stated this stand was big enough to use for similar applications.I'm happy to say they were 100% correct. This stand holds the screen with ease. I can adjust it to whatever angle I want, the grooves in the legs hold the screen solidly, no worries that it's going to tip over, and it takes up so much less desk space than the fold-out style "stand" that originally came with my screen. Folds up and fits great in the side pocket of my laptop bag.If you use a portable monitor, you should have one of these.Ver másVer menos

Good little stand
I got this because I want to write at work and needed something that could hold a small tablet while not taking up too much room in a bag. This thing is cheap and you can definitely feel it in the build quality. It's entirely plastic, but what do you expect for the price? This probably isn't going to be product you can keep and use it for years on end. It probably will break down in due time due to the cheap construction.But if you're looking for something cheap that doesn't take up a bunch of room, this is pretty good! It's super lightweight and compact with how it folds. It did take me a minute to figure out how to use it, but once you get it, super duper easy to use. And it does exactly what it sets out to do. It can hold a tablet. I can't speak to how WELL it holds the tablet, though. I'm generally not poking and prodding around on the screen because I'm typing into a word processor with a Bluetooth keyboard. I don't think this would stand up to a kid aggressively poking at it for a game. But if you just need something that can hold a tablet still for certain work, it does do its job adequately.Ver másVer menos

Mixed feelings. It works alright, but it's inferior to the previous model.
This review is for the portable tablet and phone stand by Aimai Forever. I've used the Amazon Basics version of this stand for several years, and was disappointed to see that it had been discontinued. I opted for this model, which is presented as "Amazon's Choice," and I have mixed feelings about it. Pricewise, this stand is a few dollars cheaper than the previous one, and it's about 80% as good. The ratchet joints (or more precisely, Hirth joints) don't hold as well because, instead of using screws and nuts on the main hinge and the top arm, the new stand uses non-adjustable plastic rivets. The quality of the plastic is also somewhat inferior, and the housing around the legs formed two pointy edges.I like this style of stand because it's highly adjustable and features a very stable, broad base. Also, the generously sized foam pads underneath provide effective skid resistance. The new stand omits the foam at the hinge, which makes it a little less stable.Notes:1) The stand works well for lighter tablets like the Kindle Fire HD 10 in landscape and portrait modes. It can sort-of support larger tablets, such as the Samsung S8+, in portrait mode with a case, but you need to be very careful, as the stand can be overwhelmed. Phones in portrait mode aren't super ideal, but it works.Ver másVer menos

Versatile, convenient
I ordered extras originally because I was "afraid" of not being able to find them in the future. I had previously purchased the Amazon Basics version (no longer available). LOVE these things... adjustments seem infinite for angles, devices, and stability. The open design allows for different charger cable configurations. I get curiosity-seekers at most public places when using one. Folds down VERY compactly for a man-bag or purse.Ver másVer menos
