A delightful book - thoughtful, insightful, captivating
What a delightful surprise this book turned out to be!!!The Correspondent is unlike anything I've read recently. It's thoughtful, insightful, and quietly captivating. Rather than relying on dramatic twists, it draws you in through beautifully developed characters and the gradual unfolding of their lives.Sybil is a fascinating protagonist. As the story progresses, there's an underlying thread of curiosity about what experiences, especially the loss of her son, shaped her into the person she became. That question lingered throughout the novel and kept me eagerly turning the pages.Virginia Evans writes with grace and authenticity, creating a story that is both intimate and emotionally resonant. I couldn't put it down. After I finished the book, I was delighted to discover that Virginia Evans is from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, close to where I live. I had no idea when I picked up the novel, and it made me appreciate this remarkable debut even more. Kudos for crafting such a beautifully written and refreshingly original novel. If you're looking for a character-driven story with heart, depth, and a unique perspective, I highly recommend The Correspondent.Ver másVer menos
