My first gaming quality monitor and it's amazing
Before, I've had cheaper generic flat monitors and it's serviceable. I bought a new pc, one that's designed to max out 1080p gaming and I was browsing for a monitor to match the quality, and this had very glowing reviews, well deserved.It's my first curved monitor, and it's definitely cool, and it does have the specs you would want in a gaming monitor, especially where capping at 1080p isn't a downside, like I have a 4K TV for my consoles and streaming box, but on the computer, the high end quality display feels like I don't need a higher resolution (plus I'd also need a pc twice as expensive if I did.)My only real gripes are mild. The stand it comes with is a bit flimsy, once you get it on there, it's solid enough, but move it around and it might start tipping down. As much as it's kind of a hassle with TV stands that have screws, at least those keep it attached. But if you have the wall space, you can buy a wall mount. The other thing was the DP cable it came with, I was having the occasional issue where when booting up the pc, something wasn't being recognized and I had no picture, unless I used a spare HDMI cable. I did buy a new DP cable, a really high end one, and it seems to have fixed the problem, I probably had a faulty one in the box.So nothing big to complain about. And for the price, it was on a flash sale when I got it, and I couldn't imagine a better gaming monitor for a modest price. Also, the HDR is nuts, I've never seen HDR where the black and white is so subtle, like you can go to the minimum and maximum, and it's so subtle over if you can see the logo on the black or the white. It really makes me want to buy Silent Hill 2 Remake on PC just for the HDR experience, even though I'll still be too creeped out to make progress in that game.Ver másVer menos
