Must use it’s batteries must buy a 45w c type block, will charge 3s controllers, not headset
I really just wanted the charging Dock to easily charge my controllers for my meta quest 3 and 3s. I ordered the BOBOVBR controller charging dock only, first. The first dock I got was dead on arrival. No lights and would not power on at all. I ordered a replacement. The second dock was also dead on arrival. Same exact problem. So I sent the unit back, got my money back then I ordered the BOBOVR D3 charging dock. This charging Dock charges the controllers, the headset and the BOBOVOVR snap on back up battery all at the same time. I plugged the dock in and it lit up immediately. It had an orange light. So that let me know it was actually getting power. It worked perfectly for my Meta Quest 3 unit. But you can’t use this dock to charge meta quest 3s headset. But if you get a set of the rechargeable batteries that come with the BOBOVR charging dock and put them into your meta quest 3s controllers, this BOBOVR D3 charging dock will charge your controllers. You have to use the rechargeable batters that come with the BOBOVR dock, just regular AA rechargeable batteries will not work with this unit. Also this unit comes with c type charging cable (rather short) but you need to buy a charging c type block. The site recommends a 45 watt block. I only had a 20 watt and a 30 watt block. The site says for optimal charging, the light on the unit will turn green when plugged into a 45 watt block. I tried all the charger blocks I had 20watt, 30watt and my new 45watt charger. Each one lite the unit up when plugged in, but the light was orange for each one. I have yet to see the light turn green. Each of the c type blocks worked, the difference is the speed of the charge. The charger charges both my 3 and my 3s controllers with my grips on. No need to remove the grips. They only way to know if your controllers are completely charged is the light beside each controller port goes out. When you place a drained, uncharged controller on the dock, a white light comes on beside the controller on the dock. When that light goes out, the controller is fully charged. Since, I really just wanted the controller convenient charging, I am very happy with this purchase finally.Ver másVer menos
