Open and remove the plastic tab BEFORE trying to charge!
Let me start off my saying these are INCREDIBLE ear buds for an INCREDIBLY affordable price.For years, I'd been using my original everyday raycons for sleeping every night. I was gifted a second pair at Christmas that did NOT work and their customer service and policies are terrible. Years later I was gifted their fitness earbuds-- they worked! and were good for working out, waiting for dance classes to end, but NOT for sleeping (awkward fit, annoying "buttons", loud beeping when battery low). Eventually my originals started to die, the left ear being nearly mute, so I bought another set when they advertised their revised original everyday earbuds. They arrived un-chargeable and customer service was terrible again. So I've sworn off that brand and have been searching for an alternative. I'm very picky!The J-Labs were cute and my friends recommended them for affordability, functionality, and cuteness. They are incredible quality and I would argue they are more crisp and better at noise cancellation than Raycons. You can buy two or three of these for the price of one Raycon.Pros: Wide array of colour options. Easy to tell if it is charging or pairing because the lights are VERY visible. Crisp audio. Good noise cancellation. They paired easily to my device. Affordable!!Cons: The charging case has a male usb and I had to buy a f/f converter so I could use it. Has a little less battery run time for overnight use, which for me is a huge deal because I sleep with earbuds in every single night. The speaking voice ("POWER ON" etc) is quite loud and I suspect would be very disruptive if the buds were still on during sleep and the batteries were almost out. I haven't had the chance to hear it yet though (will update review when necessary) because unfortunately these earbuds are TOO LOUD for sleep. The lowest possible volume is louder than the Raycons at their 30% volume. (I think this will be a positive for daytime use). The volume "buttons" are fine but I definitely have muscle memory and preference for my other earbuds (the Everydays have great system and buttons, the Fitness have terrible ones). I'll just adapt though!All in all, I think 90% of people would LOVE these headphones! I will certainly be enjoying them for daily use out of the house. I definitely prefer a button that "clicks" instead of touch style but it's not enough to go against all the positives. My search for overnight earbuds continues but I hope you'll give these a try if you've been thinking about them!Ver másVer menos

Excellent (affordable) gym earbuds; comfortable, sound quality & ANC better than expected
Okay, yeah, these are great. No, they're not the most incredible sounding earbuds ever, but at this price the quality, performance, and features are excellent and I am more than happy with the purchase.In short: comfort is good, default EQ setting is good (other EQ presets are bad, but you can also customize in the app so have at it), ANC and Be Aware modes are better than expected, water resistance is nice, battery no complaints there. Price is great. Color options are fun. Already considering buying again.A quick overview:I needed a pair of okay-ish, affordable gym earbuds replace my years-old anker soundcore Life A1s now that those are discontinued. The criteria I was looking for:- Waterproof (or close), this is important to me since I like to periodically clean my gym earbuds- Acceptable sound quality, the gym is loud and the music is not the main focus when I'm there, but I still want to enjoy it- Compact case with decent battery life- Touch controls (at least for volume, play/pause, and skip)- Noise Cancelling, seriously my gym is loud, and even with foam eartips the A1s didn't block enough out and I'd always have to turn my volume way higher than I'd like- Price, I need something that's just "good enough" for the gym or some yard work, and that won't be a big deal to replace if necessary. I have plenty of fancy hi-fi earbuds and headphones for when I'm at my desk. I do not need to risk that kind of money for earbuds that are going to get beat up, dirty, and have a much higher risk of getting lost. These have to be non-precious.How these performed:- These are only IPX5, whereas the ankers were IPX7, so although I can't literally dunk them in water like I could the ankers (which I actually did by accident and they were totally fine), these should hold up to cleaning and sweat just fine. Also they're shape is pretty smooth, without a lot of crevices, so should be easy to clean- Sound quality / EQ modes was better than expected. I used to be really into audiophile gear, and these definitely are not that, BUT for casual listening they're perfectly good. I usually expect earbuds at this price point to have an awkward mix, scratchy highs, or grossly exaggerated bass, but the default profile (the "JLab Signature" setting) of these is pleasant.--> Extra detail: With that said, the other EQ modes feel like a waste of space. The 'balanced' mode is I guess technically balanced, but again not any kind of audiophile monitoring level of flat. The 'bass boost' is muddy and gross. There is also a Custom EQ option you can use with an app., and while I haven't actually tried that yet I definitely appreciate the option. Years ago I loved fiddling with the custom EQ on my jaybird X3s, so if the JLab app has a sufficient level of adjustability then I'm sure you'll be able to find something you like. If not, the default EQ should still serve you just fine.- Case & Battery: I kind of love the case. I haven't timed it, but so far the battery life claims seem pretty much on point, no complaints there. The case is also fairly compact, which I like. The real kicker, the case has a built in USB-C cable that folds away! As silly as it sounds, that's actually really great, and I didn't realize how much I'd like this feature until I had it. It also adds a level of convenience to a carry-in-your-pocket-slash-gym-bag item knowing you can plug into most things on the spot- Touch Controls: Overall good. These earbuds use soft touch buttons but don't have any haptic feedback. I still prefer either real buttons or some kind of feedback to signal positivity. ie. When you push (more like 'tap') the button, there's no click or vibration indicating it's been pushed. That seems to be the norm with a lot of earbuds and headphones these days. Inevitably that means sometimes you accidentally 'push' a button when you're glasses or even just butting the earbud in, and that's annoying, especially when you then have to cycle through all the EQ or ANC options... HOWEVER, this was much less of a problem on these earbuds then I experienced with models from other bands (Beats). Overall, the button sensitivity is fair, not too sensitive that you're constantly messing up commands and not too blunt that you have to whack yourself in the head to skip songs.--> As far as command options go, it's a pretty good set of features, and most of them work on either earbud. Only thing that's missing: they have a skip ahead command, but not a "skip" back command, so if you accidentally fast forward or jump ahead you can't rewind/revert with the earbuds, you have to get your device. Not a huge deal though.- ANC & Be Aware modes: again, better than expected. For the price I'm actually quite happy. The noise cancelling definitely reduces excess sound without any major weirdness, and for my purposes is satisfactory. The Be Aware mode is not something I needed, but it is nice to have. It also works better than I expected, although it does tend to amplify certain frequencies more than others. I don't know if that's a mistake -- it seems like voices, car sounds, things like that, make their way through, and for its purpose that's probably a good thing. It's not the most seamless Aware mode I've tried, but again at the price I'm happy.Finally, last thing, they come with a standard array of replaceable tips, and the earbuds themselves are light and don't have any weird edges or corners, so wearing them for extended periods is perfectly comfortable. I WISH they had an option for winged tips, because I tend to prefer that for workout buds, but I admittedly haven't had any issue with these falling out.

Dollar for dollar, way better than JBL Vibe Buds
I bought these to replace a pair of JBL Vibe Buds and have been really impressed by a bunch of small but significant differences! First of all, ease of connection—these little babies were ready, willing, and eager to pair with both my laptop and my phone right out of the gate. Zero friction, zero connection stoppage, no fussing around with apps to download and configure. THIS is how Bluetooth tech is supposed to work, people!! THIS is the 21st century vision I was promised!! Secondly, the case design gets an A+ from me too—I never understood why the JBL case was open at the top. It got cruddy and dusty in there pretty much immediately, and having to keep track of yet another six-inch charging cable that isn’t compatible with anything else I have to charge was a pain. The Jlab case is charmingly compact, but pleasingly heavy, with a sturdy hinge on the lid and a decisive *snap* when it closes. Best of all, the charging cable is built right in, and keeps the case handy when I’m charging it via my laptop. Battery life has been great so far, and the little dickens even tell you when they’re getting thirsty. The fit is comfortable and the sound quality has been great for my purposes (hours of zoom calls and the occasional podcast or voice call—you’ll probably want something higher-end if you’re an audiophile, though). Bonus points for all the cute colors they come in, too. All told, great value for the money and a vast improvement on a similarly-priced offering from their competitors!Ver másVer menos

Best budget anc
So darn good for the price. The ANC is crazy good I wore them while mowing the lawn with a gas mower and it sounded quieter than a sewing machine. They fit comfortably, I wish they came with foam tips though.My only issue is just like there LUX ANC over ear headphones when on public transit and you go over a bump It causes headphones to skip which Is very annoying.For around $20 you can’t beat these headphones.Ver másVer menos

100% worth it
for the price, these earbuds are 100% worth it. Dare i say better quality than the original apple airpod's. It comes with 3 different noise features including noise cancelation, regular, and a “be aware” feature. I love these because they’re discreet so i can use them while working in the barn and nobody really notices. It’s a lot easier to hide under my hair than regular AirPods. Easy to connect like any bluetooth device, but you don’t have to click any buttons to connect it. The instructions are extremely easy to understand, and they fit good. You can kind of twist it around depending on your ear shape to make it more comfortable. Would 100% purchase again if ever needed. Also super cool is that there is an app where you can customize the settings.Ver másVer menos

Color is off, but I'll take it lol
It's loud enough, but doesn't bring any sound for people to hear. Good thing. However, its noise canceling feature is kinda useless, still it's alight, as i don't use it. My main regret is that, I dunno why i chose this color thoooo. Looks really off from the picture, very SADDENING.... Charges really fast, not sure yet how long one charge will last. Fits comforably, price is good for everything like this ig! Range us good! bass is acceptable! fully plastic but quality is fine.Ver másVer menos
