A great smart display with a few minor drawbacks

I really like the larger 11 inch display on this Echo Show. The screen is sharp, colorful, and easy to see from across the room without taking up too much space on a countertop or desk. The graphite finish gives it a modern, clean appearance, and the build quality feels premium. It looks more like a small tablet than a typical smart speaker.Setting it up is pretty straightforward, especially if you already have other Alexa devices. Compatibility with smart home products is one of its biggest advantages. I like being able to control compatible lights, check my Ring cameras, and manage different devices from one screen instead of constantly reaching for my phone.The reminders and routines are particularly useful. Being able to ask Alexa to remind me about something, set multiple timers, or check my calendar makes everyday tasks easier. The larger display is also nice for viewing information at a glance, and the spatial audio sounds surprisingly good for a device this size.One thing I wish Amazon would improve is the amount of content displayed on the home screen. Sometimes it feels a little cluttered with suggestions and features I don’t necessarily need. Also, while the screen is larger, it still has some limitations compared with using a regular tablet, especially when navigating certain settings.Despite those minor complaints, I’m happy with the quality, appearance, and functionality. Upgraded and love it

I’ve been really enjoying the Echo Show 11. The 11-inch screen is a great size—big enough that I can easily see it from across the room without it feeling like it takes over the entire counter. The Full-HD display looks bright and sharp, especially when viewing photos, checking recipes, or watching videos.One thing I’ve found myself doing almost every morning is asking Alexa for the weather while I’m making coffee. I can quickly glance at the screen and see the temperature and forecast without having to stop what I’m doing and check my phone. It’s a small thing, but it’s surprisingly convenient.I also use it throughout the day for music, timers, reminders, and controlling my smart home devices. Alexa responds quickly, and I really like having the information displayed visually instead of only hearing the response.The sound is also better than I expected and easily fills the room when I’m playing music. Overall, it’s become one of those devices I use much more often than I originally expected. Very happy with it!Ver más

The Perfect Smart Display Upgrade

I’ve been really impressed with the newest Echo Show 11 so far. The 11-inch Full HD screen is one of my favorite things about it because it gives you noticeably more viewing space without making the device feel huge or take up too much room. The picture is bright, clear, and easy to see from across the room.The speaker is also much better than I expected. It gets plenty loud for music, podcasts, videos, and just using Alexa throughout the house, while still sounding clear at higher volumes. The spatial audio is a nice addition and makes watching content feel more immersive.One of the biggest conveniences for me is how easily it connects with other smart devices. Setting up and controlling compatible lights, cameras, and other smart-home devices from the Echo Show makes everything feel much more centralized. Being able to use Alexa to control things without having to grab my phone every time is something I’ve found myself using constantly.I also really like having the larger display for things like recipes, timers, weather, music, video calls, and checking connected cameras. It feels like a useful upgrade from smaller smart displays because there’s simply more room to see everything.Overall, this has quickly become one of those devices that I use throughout the day. The combination of the larger screen, loud speaker, Alexa functionality, and easy connection with other devices makes it a very convenient addition to the home. Laggy, Bad Ui, Alexa sucks on here! don’t buy!!

Are you thinking about buying this because it finally allows more usability, it has a nicer display, and think being able to watch all your stuff and have Alexa do things for you beside your bed or in your kitchen would be useful? DONT!!! it’s it’s terrible that’s exactly what I thought. The screen looks fine and playing music is fine. It actually sounds pretty good. That’s the only thing that’s worth a crap. since I’ve gotten it and tried it. It lags on everything I do. I’m talking changing settings will even freeze or have a second or two delay scrolling. The one time I got an Amazon shopping notification. I opened the app to check what it was and it took forever to load. The screen would literally turn white as you scroll down and have to load in everything I felt like I was using dial up again, I honestly think it would be better.(note I have a gig of fiber) I bought this for the new hardware. I really thought it would be great. Alexa actually sucks out here. Everything you tell her she don’t know or can’t do! forget trying to ask her about the device lol She knows nothing about it. She can’t tell you how to fix or do anything, and she actually will lie to you. She will mess up simple things and you’re gonna want to change some personality for sure you’ll love hearing your name emphasized like you haven’t been listening for 20 minutes from your mom. But seriously on this device every time you talk to Alexa, it pops up the actual transcript conversation so if you’re using the show, then you can’t do anything and if you try to swipe it off while she’s talking, it will immediately interrupt her and stop the conversation. There is also many bugs with back and forth talking with that, sometimes I would talk and say a whole conclusion and then it would send my reply and I would watch it, but then it would disappear and act like I said nothing but you still have the gigantic text feed on there. And I’ve used Alexa plus before and I honestly didn’t think it was that bad now it’s not as good as talking to live GPT but this device truly made it terrible.. so in conclusion when you talk to her, she doesn’t actually register half the things you say it lags the whole time and then when she does understand most of the things that you’re wanting her to do she can’t actually do or if she can, she’ll say that she can’t until you call her out and say you can because you did it last night and then she’ll admit it and do . Now that cut out about 75% of the enjoyment for me right there but then the home screen or whatever you wanna call it is like widgets or something. And I honestly found it very confusing and annoying as I couldn’t just go to apps easily or customize it where I can have my weather showing the time and heck maybe a cool picture of my kid no, that’s a separate display mode for photos you can have that run continuous photos for three hours or you can pay them money and then I guess you could run it all the time.Now, maybe what I’m wanting is semi possible, but I’m pretty good with technology and I couldn’t figure out a easy way to do it and Alexa sure as hell can’t tell you.. so no I do not recommend this product. I do not recommend buying on sale if it was $50. The pros are the screen looks good. It’s a music box and you can halfway access half of what you think you’d want to if you don’t mind lagging the entire time and it possibly crashing. My kids Amazon tablet is better than this, take my opinion. If you want to I will be returning it and for the sake of everyone else I really hope that mine was a malfunctioning incomplete defective product. Alexa works better on my GEN 3 dot than this!!!!

Echo show

I’m really happy with the Echo Show 11. The 11-inch Full HD screen is bright, clear, and a great size for watching videos, checking recipes, making video calls, and displaying photos. Alexa responds quickly, and the sound quality is also very good.I especially like how it looks on my counter—it feels modern and well-made. The camera is a nice addition for video calls, and the smart home features make it very convenient.Overall, I think it’s a great product for the price, especially when it’s on sale. Pretty good but needs a few changes.

Well, it's pretty good. I upgraded from an Echo Show 5 because I feel like the room that it's in is large enough to warrant a larger display, which I can see more clearly from further away. It does this, though I feel like I should have gone with the 11, but that is my own fault. The screen does look really good, clear, and vibrant. It also sounds a whole lot better than the Echo Show 5. It is also easy to use and so far seems durable. My problem come with some of it quirky glitches and bugs. For example, it rotates through some pictures, but sometimes it gets stuck on a picture for a long, long time. Sometimes it gets stuck on a blue screen that just seems like a default wallpaper. Sometimes it even goes into night mode when it isn't within the time that I scheduled to do that. Before you say anything, I turned off the light sensor. Sometimes it even pops up with a reminder and just displays the reminder, but doesn't actually say it. A few times I've asked Alexa to show one of my Ring cameras, and it says that it's doing it, and I can hear noises coming from the camera through the Echo Show 8's speakers, but it just displays a blurry image, not the actual video. This could be an issue with Ring, though, so take that as you will. Also, I can't find a way to get it to SHOW me a camera view but not have sound, even if I physically use the buttons to turn the device's volume all the way down. Maybe I'm dumb, but I can't figure out how to do what seems like a straightforward thing to do. All in all I really like the device, I just wish they'd fix these kinds of glitches, which seem like things that COULD be fixed with a few updates. Also, if you have a larger room, get the 11. I wish I had gotten the 11. I will regret that I didn't.Update: After a few months with this thing, I just wanted to say that I may not have purchased this if I could do this over again. My main reason for saying this is that this device basically becomes a billboard for ads. When it shows the pictures on there, it looks really nice but more often than not when I look over at the device, it’s just a freaking ad. I basically paid them my own money for them to advertise to me. And that just doesn’t seem fair.Ver más
