Great System! Please see My Details
I’ll start with, this crash bar system fit perfectly. The manufacturing is solid and spot on. No blemishes or scratches and packed really well for shipping. I would highly recommend this system to anyone. Again, I could not be happier and that is why I give it 5 Stars! There are some necessary details you need to know. The installation video is great for showing the proper sequence you should follow. The included instructions are blurry pictures and no written detail. The included bolt kit is as follows: 2 longer bolts (threads measuring 1” long), 4 medium sized bolts (threads measuring 3/4” long), 2 short bolts (threads measuring 1/2” long). The bolt lengths needed are slightly off and Nowhere does it say what particular bolt goes where so I’d like to share that with you. You will “Actually” need the following; 2 long bolts for the mounts under the tank (medium bolts are not long enough), 2 long bolts for the upper/lower crash guard union mount points (medium bolts will catch some threads to the frame but not all the way through to feel confident at all), 2 medium bolts for the upper crash guard Top Mounts (I just used the 2 hex bolts that I took off when removing the chin spoiler under the headlights that you have to take off to mount the guard system anyways), 2 small bolts for the skid plate mounts (you can use the small bolts because the “Stock” Ibex skid plate is a thin gauge therefore the small bolts provided can work there), *Please Note; Aftermarket skid plates are always a thicker gauge therefore you can get away with using the provided “medium” sized bolts for these two mount points when you have a thicker gauge aftermarket skid plate. Most important detail you need to know. Pay attention to the “left side” skid plate mount bolt you use. If it is too long it can protrude too close to your oil pan. Hard hits can cause flex and the threaded end of this bolt can puncture your oil pan! Simply choose the right length of provided bolts (medium or small) depending on your skid plate thickness.Re-Cap: provided bolt kit should have had “4” long bolts And not just 2. You will need to get two additional Long bolts. They should have provided “4” Long, “2” Medium and “2” Short… luckily I already had 2 of the matching Long bolts in my shop! Great looking and well built. I hope this was helpful.Ver másVer menos
