  Great Watch and Great Value

  Great watch at a great value. Looked great on. The fit was a little large and it doesn’t come with a kit to remove the links, but I can take it in and have that done

  Just Right

  So, I was randomly (if you can really even do that anymore), here for a watch band for my smart watch, when I saw this. I am a chronophile, (loves time keeping devices) but had sworn off new watches after converting to a smartwatch. I’m shocked that it took three years for me to break my resolution, but the bottom line is I love this watch, and I’ve been looking for it for quite some time. My great grandmother had a broken watch she kept in a a desk drawer, she would let me take it out and look at it sometimes, the face was gold filled but otherwise strikingly similar. I always loved the octagonal shape and never saw a modern, quality watch that had one. Even the face has the same herringbone pattern and border. Like my other fossil watches it doesn’t have an obnoxiously loud tick and it’s very lightweight. One concern about that is I wouldn’t necessarily know if I’d lost it right away. As always removing links is a chore but I do it myself because you get pretty proficient at it when you have a 6.5 in wrist. The size of the watch face is perfect for a smaller wrist and easy to read for those of us with reading glasses. If you have a larger wrist you might not like it, unless you’re specifically looking for something delicate. It’s a watch you can easily wear everyday, that looks just as good with jeans as it does with a dress. I hope it holds up in a lab environment on days when I’m fed up with my smartwatch zapping me with notifications and attempting to correct my physical laziness, this is why I chose a metal band. I know that it can tolerate hand washing and that’s really all I need. The clasp is rather substantial and appears sturdy. That being said, it takes up almost the entire underside of my wrist, the only thing that really bothers me. So if you’re cursed with the wrists of a preteen or are a preteen who doesn’t need to sanitize their hands constantly, go for one of the leather bands. As mentioned previously you can clearly see there are Roman numerals, not Western Arabic, I don’t have a problem with that (in fact I prefer them) but some people might. I did wait about a month because of the price, I am sure it’s worth it but I wanted a good deal. I sprang because fossil never seems to bring back any of their more unique styles. The best part for me is that it brings back good memories.Ver másVer menos
