Better than the Sennheiser Dongle
What a PITA the $60+ Sennheiser dongle was to use and pair. Typical complicated German product. You didn't even know the which color was associated to the codec. There was a purple and pink color codec but the dongle only showed you one...but WHICH one was associated? For crissakes. Another Youtube audio reviewer also had the SAME experience! In comparison, this doesn't have Aptx Lossless but Aptx Adaptive which can do Lossless. I can live with this Adaptive even if I can't have FULL control to Lossless. The thing is that this dongle pairs quick and works. Day & night difference to the complicated and expensive Sennheiser dongle. As for sound, the Aptx Adaptive DOES improve the sound over SBC and Aptx that my Samasung S23 Ultra phone can do. The sound is fuller (more dynamic in the bass and treble dept.). I have very resolving headphones in the best-in-class rated B&W PX8 S2, so it was easy to tell the difference. I'm a believer as I was skeptical the dongle insertion would be enough sonic to justify the money. But if you want cripser/clearer/fuller sound from your headphone, I think you'll be pleased!I'll copy/paste another reviewer's color scheme of this dongle for reference as it's important. Remember, one push of the dongle will change to the next codec color:"What makes the UGREEN stand out is that you can SEE and CONTROL what codec is being used. By default, it's going to connect at the best quality that it can. Each time you press the button on the adapter, it goes one step down on that codec quality ladder.1. aptX Adaptive-HQ (High Quality)2. aptX Adaptive-LL (Low Latency, good for gaming & audio/video sync)3. aptX HD (previous generation of aptX than Adaptive, so a little lower quality than Adaptive-HQ)4. aptX5. SBC (The old school bluetooth audio codec that almost everything is compatible with but has such a low bitrate that it sounds tinny and bad)Cool, right? You can also SEE what mode it's using. The light on the adapter glows depending on what mode you're in.1. Green = aptX Adaptive-HQ2. Cyan = aptX Adaptive-LL (like a pale greenish-blue)3. Purple = aptX HD4. Yellow = aptX5. Blue = SBC (like a deep blue, it's easy to see and hear the difference in this and the aptX Adaptive-LL's cyan"Ver másVer menos
