  Terrific Sun Tea Pitcher

  I bought this specifically to make sun tea and am very happy that I did. It holds 2 quarts, perfect for a couple of days worth of fresh sun tea; is made of thick glass which I find reassuring when moving it outdoors and in; the lid/handle is 1 consolidated piece made of a sturdy, rigid plastic that doesn't flex or give when carrying even when the pitcher is full; the screw-top lid has a rubber seal built into it that prevent any leakage; and the pour spout in the lid is designed to prevent and drips or runs when pouring. I am very satisfied with this pitcher and would not hesitate to purchase another.Ver másVer menos

  Decent quality canning jar type glass pitcher

  I have used this to make brewed tea. I run my hottest tap water over it to start warming the glass before I pour boiling hot water from my kettle into the glass. So far this works fine as a way to ease temperature shock and avoid shock cracks that would break the item. I then add tea bags to the water and put the lid on this pitcher, catching the strings so they don’t fall into the water. I steep for desired time, remove the tea bags, and when the water is cooled enough, I put the pitcher into my refrigerator. I do put a pinch of baking soda into the freshly brewed tea before it cools completely and stir well. This produces a smooth tasting tea. … The glass pitcher part is sturdy so far using the method to prewarm the glass so that boiling water doesn’t shock the class and cause fissures. The top screws on easily and seals fine so there is no leakage when pouring. The item is easy to clean by hand or in the dishwasher. The glass is of a good thickness and seems tempered enough to last when handled properly. I like the “yesteryear” leaning look of the item, like “an old fashioned canning jar” design and appearance).   The glass jars are a bit heavy but still a great product

  Because these are made primarily of glass, they are healthier than plastic. The glass can be sterilized and so is resistant to bacteria growth. The large (half gallon) size results in them being a bit heavy so probably not great for homes with small children. We love having sun tea and they are perfect for making and storing that. My wife drinks one half gallon of water per day so this is perfect for her to track that consumption. These arrived incredibly well packed in an oversize box with polyurethane foam top and bottom panels to protect during shipping. That was a nice quality touch.PROS:• Glass jars are easily sterilized and cleaned,• The plastic handles are sturdy and substantial,• Reasonable price.CONS:• These are probably too heavy for young children to handle.We love these pitchers and use them every day.   Love these glass jars

  Loving these glass pitchers , mainly using to make Sun Tea . They are the perfect size since they are glass , makes them not so heavy to carry . Being glass makes them easy to clean . Only thing is they advertise as Mason jars and they are not labeled as Mason jars, either way they are good qualityVer másVer menos

  Great for travel

  Cute, nice and effective! Tight seal, didn't leak on our 3 hour road trip. Spout works perfect, no issues with opening and resealing. Nice thick glass walled pitcher, kept beverages cold in our cooler. Easy to use, transport and clean up after.

  Happy with this pitcher.

  Perfect size for my sun tea, fits nicely in the fridge, lid does not leak.
