Unbeatable Value and Flawless 2.4GHz Connection!
This controller is an absolute game-changer, especially for the price! I bought it to use with my Intel NUC 11 Pro running Batocera, and it works flawlessly. Before this, I tried using Xbox Series S/X, PS4, and PS5 controllers via Bluetooth, but I kept running into terrible input lag and constant disconnects. I specifically picked this up for its 2.4GHz USB dongle, and it solved all my issues immediately. Connection was a breeze—no more lag or dropped signals, whether I'm playing emulated systems or using Chiaki for PS5 remote play. (It also supports Bluetooth, though I haven't needed to test it yet.)Build-wise, it is incredibly comfortable and feels like it's made from high-quality materials, yet it’s surprisingly lightweight given everything packed inside. The battery life is leaps and bounds better than my standard PS5 controllers. It features Hall effect joysticks and triggers, which are a massive plus, and the rumble feels great. There are two extra mappable buttons; you do need to plug it into a PC to configure them via software, but I haven't messed with them yet since I haven't needed the extra inputs.Aesthetically, the Transparent Black version looks incredibly snazzy with its green and matte chrome accents. My only minor critique is that I wish there were more darker, masculine colorways, as most of the other options lean very light and pastel.Finally, the fact that this is under $30 is mind-blowing. A Controller That Looks Nice, Feels Nice, and Works Without Issue
Honestly, I really enjoy using this controller and would highly recommend it. To put it simply, this controller doesn't only look nice, but it also feels nice and works without any issues on everything I've tried it on so far, including my Windows PC and Linux Steam Deck. I appreciate that there are a lot of different color options available, too. I now have it in two colors, and I can attest that the controllers are solid quality. The buttons are always responsive and precise.I've never had any connectivity issues, and appreciate that I can use it both wired and wireless. The provided cord is a good length to use at a desktop PC, however you may need something longer if you'd like to play on your TV from the couch.Sure, more flashy controllers with RGB lighting and such do exist, but honestly this controller is definitely a solid pick, especially if you're on a budget or a more casual gamer like myself.Ver másVer menos

Don't bother with any other option at this price.
Before I start this review, I will say this: Get this controller, now.I was in the market for a backup controller, something that maybe wasn't as nice as my ~$70 daily driver, but was still solid enough to play some games at a low price. The 8BitDo UIt 2C has blown every expectation I had of it out of the water, and that is considering the fact I knew a lot of people praised it for being a great low budget option. From the moment I unboxed the 2C, I knew I was in for a treat, I loved the way the buttons felt, the travel on the triggers, the responsiveness of the sticks, everything. The controller itself is made out of plastic, but it by no means feels cheap. The back of the controller has a textured grip that doesn't feel overwhelmingly tacky, the thumbsticks have a nice smooth convex rubber top, with the sides being a rougher, grippier texture that grabs onto your fingers well. The controller is reasonably lightweight without feeling cheaply made, and the shape makes it easy to use during extended play sessions. In terms of the feel in actual gameplay, it is awesome. The hall effect triggers and sticks make tolerances very tight, and it's awesome for durability as you realistically cannot get stick drift like you would with first party controllers that cost double. I've used this controller in all three modes, with 2.4GHz wireless and wired being my favorites. I don't feel any latency at all, even when I'm using bluetooth, which is surprising as that is usually where you experience the most of it. When connected to my PC, Windows just treats it like an Xbox controller, and there is not any setup required. The battery life lasts a very long time, I received it a month ago and I've only had to charge it once. I actually haven't touched my main controller since I started using the 2C, it is that good. I don't know what the wizards at 8BitDo are doing to be able to get this high quality of a product out at such a low cost, but I genuinely hope that they continue with the way they're going. "Reliable and Easy to Use"
I picked up the 8BitDo Ultimate 2C to use in the go! I enjoy playing Steam/Google Play Store games, I wanted a reliable wireless controller, something small, portable, without spending a ton. It feels solid in the hands, connects instantly, and the buttons are smooth with no lag. The battery lasts a long time, and it just works every time I turn it on. Excellent hardware, but double-check platform compatibility before buying
I’ve had mixed experiences with 8BitDo controllers over time, but the Ultimate 2C Bluetooth controller I recently purchased has been solid so far. This particular controller works correctly on Windows PC using Bluetooth, the 2.4GHz dongle, and wired USB, and it worked out of the box with no firmware updates required. The Hall effect analog sticks are incredibly smooth, precise, and feel noticeably better than standard sticks, especially for platformers and casual PC games. Battery life has been strong, lasting multiple days depending on use, and the controller fits smaller hands very well, which makes it a great option for kids. That said, my past experience with other 8BitDo models included inconsistent wireless pairing and one controller that only worked reliably on Switch, despite being advertised more broadly. Because of that, I strongly recommend confirming the exact model’s platform support before purchasing. quality and affordable controller.
My old xbox 360 corded controller died, so I needed a replacement. Subsequent to buying this, I have used this controller and beaten Lufia 2, Xenogears, Dragon Quest 5, A Link to the Past, Chrono Trigger, Super Mario World, and Yoshi's Island. In all cases I have used the wireless dongle to connect to my PC. With the dongle, the controller is just as good as a corded controller from a response time perspective. Using bluetooth it is not great, there's a noticeable delay. The controller itself is pretty, very sturdy, comfortable to hold, has a long battery life, and has a few additional buttons over traditional controllers (I use these for specific emulator controls like game speed up/down etc). Anyways I'm normally pretty picky so I was surprised that so affordable of a controller is so high quality! Highly recommended.Ver másVer menos
