This thing is awesome!!
I freaking love this thing! If you have the technological know-how, look into installing the latest version of the "Knulli" firmware on it and look up a YouTube guide on how to find and download various games from your favorite systems!The joysticks are a little difficult to use because of their placement and the small size of the unit, but if you're looking for a device perfect for emulating GBA games, this is it! It retains the original Gameboy Advance aspect ratio but the screen looks phenomenal and you can play games from other systems on it too.In a pinch, you can even get some old PC games working on this thing (like the original Half-Life or GTA III or Vice City, or indie games like Stardew Valley or Binding of Isaac). Its versatility is amazing and it's perfect for on-the-go gaming thanks to it's clamshell design. Just toss it in a pocket and when you're ready to play it, open the lid and you're good to go.Its shape and size is exactly like the original GBA SP as far as I can tell by holding them side by side. The buttons feel good. Not exactly the same feel as the original GBA buttons but close enough for my taste. Speaker sounds good. The quality of the plastic feels solid.Ver másVer menos

Terrible design and buggy
This should be amazing, but it's awful. The spring was built too tight which breaks the plastic, and the device hardware makes it so the gameplay is unreliable. I got 2 of these for my kids, and they only lasted about a month before they became nothing better than a brick. I'll never get one again, what a waste of money.Just get an emulator on your cellphone.Ver másVer menos

if you are a gamer and traveling, this is perfect! this is good for a roadtrip, plane ride. it is pocket size, and has endless games preinstalled to play as well as it’s super easy to add new ones. battery life is pretty good, and the buttons feel really crisp. it brings me back to the ds and gameboy days, would definitely recommend!Ver másVer menos

First the good stuff:The device is very high quality. It's solid and has a pleasant hefty to it. The screen is great with excellent color, resolution, and brightness. The hinge clicks solidly into place at a good viewing angle.the size is perfect for travel.Now the bad:Most, and I mean the vastly overwhelming majority of the games on this system, are arcade and obscure system shovelware. If you're looking for prominent consoles or games you'll have to find them yourself and figure out how to install them. Load times are insane. Like go for a walk, come back and make a sandwich, eat it and watch TV for awhile, and your game will possibly have loaded kinds of insane. Same for exiting a game. The analog sticks cause your hands to cramp after using them as the positions are kind of awkward. Finally, get ready to re-map those buttons. Games like Quake are a nightmare to play with default controls.So, excellent hardware, but software that's not at all for beginners.Ver másVer menos

Great device!
Great device. Very nostalgic.I love this device. I've always wanted a gameboy advance when I was younger but I could never get one. I even considered going back to Japan just to get an actual gameboy advance. But honestly, I think this is a much better option.Physical:Beautiful clamshell design. So far, I haven't had any issues with the hinges. I actually don't mind how clicks the buttons are. As a matter of fact, I like it. It has a usb-c charging port. I also like how there is a button on the upper middle part of the device to save your progress in a game.Performance:I haven't run the other device ROMs on this. I've only used the PSP and GBA ROM. The PSP games are a bit laggy. I played Tekken 6 on this and the lag was noticeable but I didn't mind it too much. Now for the GBA ROMS. This device was made for it. Everything ran smoothly. I loved how the Gameboy Advance logo was displayed perfectly on bottom of the screen. If you are a big Gameboy Advance fan, THIS IS THE DEVICE FOR YOU. I was able to download music on to the device. The speakers work fine but aren't the best. I haven't downloaded movies or short videos on to thos device yet.Battery:Battery runs well. I never experienced an overheating issue so far. Although I never played more than an hour on the device.Problems:This is the funny part. When I ordered this, it was entirely to play GBA games. However, as soon as I turned it on, I discovered that my device had no GBA games on it. I had to go online and download the games myself. For those who run into this issue as well, here's what to do:1.) Take out the SD card and insert into an SD card reader2.) Connect to a laptop3.) As soon as you open the SD card, you'll see multiple folders for each ROM, including GBA. So there's no need to make a new folder for that.4.) Open the GBA folder.5.) Download the games you want to play for GBA6.) Drag the games on to the folder.7.) Be sure to properly eject the reader before unplugging. Otherwise, you'll corrupt the file.8.) Once you turn on the device, you'll see that the GBA option is now available with the games you downloaded.Another issue I have to point out is that when you are going to play games, be sure you select the RA GAME. Do not use the GAME ROOMS option. From what I understand, it will make games lag while playing them.That's pretty much it. I say it was well worth the money. Honestly this was more 4.5/5 purchase. -0.5 simply because I had to add the GBA games in myself.

Great little handheld, but it's probably smaller than you remember
This worked really well for what it was, but I totally misjudged how big my hands are now compared to when I originally enjoyed my original SP.Returned it to purchase a bigger version, but that return was because of my preferences, not because of the quality of the machine.Ver másVer menos
