Best set for Beginners and Pros
The Nicpro Art kit is amazing for beginners and pros alike. Cost effective and sturdy built. The image I added is a quick sketch to test out the pens, and pencils. The paper I used comes with the kit. It is 68lb, 100gsm, with a smooth surface. I really like the tooth and overall quality of the paper. Fibers don't lift and pen/pencil marks lay down very clean.I laid out the image with the mechanical pencils. They have good lead advancement action, and the leads are strong. The pen lines are crisp and don't bleed. The tips are fiber, so you won't have to worry about getting paper jammed in the tip. Also, you may notice that I did quite a bit of stippling in the image. The tips stayed firm and clean despite my tapping the page. Please know that I use light pressure. The ink transferred easily and consistently. The pencil lines, using the 2.0mm clutch lead holders and colored leads, lay down smooth and easy. No breakage even with moderate pressure. The colored leads are soft which helps them lay down and left no bloom. They do wear down pretty quickly though. However, you should get quite a lot of mileage out of each stick. The clutch lead holders do feel a little light in the hand, but they have proved to be very sturdy. Should last you a long time even with moderate use. There are plenty of lead refills for both the mechanical and the 2.0mm clutch pencils. (Except the color leads. There are only one of each color.)Overall, I am very pleased with this kit. I highly recommend grabbing one for yourself, especially if it goes on sale. Most kits like this cost twice as much.Happy sketching!Ver másVer menos
