Solid Everyday Socks for a Traveler's Feet

I bought this multi-pack of Hanes Max Cushioned Crew Socks because my old ones were thinning out fast from all the airport walking and long drives—I'm in Florida but travel a lot for work, so I needed something tougher with moisture-wicking and odor control to handle sweaty feet after 10-hour days. My initial expectations were for decent cushioning without the premium price, maybe something that'd last a couple months without holes.I've been wearing them for about two weeks now, mostly on flights from Miami to conferences, paired with sneakers for security lines and casual shoes for meetings. They wick sweat well during humid Florida layovers or stuffy cabins, keeping my feet drier than my previous cotton pairs. The cushioning in the footbed is noticeable—softens steps on hard airport floors—but it's not super thick like athletic socks. Odor control seems legit; no stink even after a full day without airing out.Value-wise, the multi-pack is a steal. You get a bunch for cheap, and they hold up after a few washes—no major fading or stretching yet. They beat basic no-names I've tried, which pill up quick. That said, they didn't fully wow me on max cushion; some spots feel just thicker weave, not pillow-soft.They mostly met expectations: reliable for daily grind, better than old socks for travel woes. The wicking and durability shine, though the top band pinches a bit if you're pulling them up high.Pros:Great moisture-wicking for long, sweaty days.Cushioned soles ease foot fatigue on the go.Affordable multi-pack lasts through washes.Odor control actually works after wear.Cons:Calf band can feel tight and dig in initially.Cushioning good but not the thickest out there.Upper part thinner than the footbed.Ver másVer menos

Great for those that wear size 14 shoes!

I recently found a pair of durable and comfortable socks that are perfect for my size 14 feet, and I’m seriously impressed! It’s tough to find socks that are both roomy and supportive, but these tick all the boxes. The fit is spot on—no tightness around the toes or the ankles, which is a common issue with larger feet. These socks have plenty of stretch but still hold their shape, even after multiple washes. They fit comfortably without slipping down throughout the day, which is a huge win for me.The material feels soft and breathable, making them perfect for wearing all day long. I’ve worn them during long workdays, gym sessions, and outdoor activities, and my feet stay comfortable and dry, thanks to their moisture-wicking properties. The durability is another standout feature—after several washes, they still look and feel as good as new, with no fraying or thinning in the fabric. If you have larger feet like me, you know how hard it can be to find socks that don’t bunch up or wear out too quickly. These socks provide the comfort, support, and longevity I need, and I can’t recommend them enough. Definitely a must-have for anyone with big feet looking for high-quality, reliable socks!Ver másVer menos

Yay! Hanes has an over-the-calf crew sock again!

Yes!! Hanes has come back out with crew socks over-the-calf length. They are slightly different from what they used to be on the tops (wore the old crew over-the-calf for many years till it was discontinued) but they hold up fine all day, not too loose and not too tight. They are thinner sock which is what I needed. Great sock so far will see how well it holds up over time.Ver másVer menos

  Mostly positive experience

I bought the 6-pair pack of Hanes Over-the-Calf Max Cushioned socks for work and working out, and I am very pleased with them. Finding good over-the-calf socks that do not constantly slide down can be a challenge, but these stay securely in place all day without cutting off circulation at the top.The maximum cushioning is fantastic. It provides a thick, supportive layer underfoot that noticeably reduces foot fatigue during long shifts on concrete floors. The moisture-wicking fabric also does a great job of keeping my feet dry and preventing sweat buildup, even during intense workouts.Pros:- Excellent, thick cushioning for all-day comfort- Stay-up top band that does not sag or pinch- Effective moisture-wicking material keeps feet dry- Great value for a multi-packCons:- Because of the max cushioning, they are quite thick. They might feel a bit tight if you wear them with tightly fitted shoes.- They take slightly longer to dry in the an electric dryer compared to thinner athletic socks.Overall, these are high-quality, comfortable athletic socks that deliver on their promises. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, cushioned over-the-calf socks for sports, work, or daily wear.Ver másVer menos

  May hinder circulation to feet

Here to be well-made, but if you have circulation problems to your feet, these are not the socks for you. This would be too tight around your calfs.
