Dependable, bright, affordable. Perfect
These are the most dependable lights I have found in their price range. I have tried 3 different kinds, and almost all of the single light headbands will randomly go out if you jolt them-like when running-then you have to tap them to get them on again.Not these; out of the 5, only one had intermittent issues turning off. The other four have worked perfectly. They have long range spot lights with 2 brightness settings, and a band of close in lights that would well in fog, also with 2 brightness settings.The band is very adjustable and does not irritate. I do not think these will fit a child's head, the band is a bit wide for that, though you could shorten it with some work. I did not even notice the band even after 90 minutes of wear.The weight is evenly balanced and feel no heavier than a single lamp headband.Fantastic price on quality headlampsVer másVer menos

Absolutely perfect headlamps for outdoor night-time ranch work, ATV and much more.
These are simply the best headlamps I've ever owned and used. I started spelunking in college with a Carbide lamp in the 1960's (5-digit REI member) and graduated to battery headlamps that were heavy at first and dim at best. I've worked outdoors for over 50 years. Professionally, I've had various flashlights (Mag and Streamlights that got much better over the decades) and headlamps since 1972 when I started as a Colorado Wildlife Officer (District Wildlife Manager). Retired in 2010. This year my son came out to the ranch and we had one of these night work nights in November. Holy-cow, when I saw his headlamp I was impressed. He had bought them for himself and his crew. I ordered a five pack the next day. Well worth every penny!!! As a matter of fact, I just bought a second five pack and will probably buy a third 5 pack for Christmas gifts. For the money, these are fantastic. First, you've got five modes, a high and medium bright wide-angle strip in front, then 2 (not 1 but two)- high and medium spotlights on both sides of your head, a blinking mode and a hands free on-off-repeat mode. They're lightweight, comfortable on head and rechargeable. These are the best headlamps I've owned.The only potential downside for me deals with snorkeling and scuba diving. For that I still use two older battery operated lamps (their ok but newer ones are better). Maybe this summer in June, I would like to experiment with electricians tape all over and around, and around the battery recharge compartment, switches etc. If that works, then double holy-cow, life is great moment. And if it doesn't work, then it's just one holy-cow life is great, and these are too.Ver másVer menos

Great bargain for gifts but charge indicator LED hard to see & strap too long
The LEDs that indicate charge status and charging simply do not work. Otherwise, the unit is fine. But I want to know what the charge status is, so this is simply unacceptable.Update: I take that back--the company explained that the light dots on the top are the motion sensors that can turn the light on and off; the red-green charging LED is buried in the base of the USB C charging port, as shown in the photo.Although I think these super-bright LED headlamps are great, I'm not giving this on 5 stars partially because the charging LED is so hard to see, but also because the strap is a bit long. As shown in the photo, I've adjusted the strap to its shortest length with both buckles touching in the middle. It sits ok but not snugly on my normal-sized head. It wouldn't work at all for a child's or adolescent's head, and it isn't firm enough on my adult daughter's. The full length strap would probably fit around a 50-gallon drum!Still, a five-pack like this provides enough for car, house, shop, camping and make great gifts.Ver másVer menos

Very bright
As far as I can tell there is only one minor flaw in this, possibly a feature. They tend to shine up a little bit. So when you're wearing them on a hard hat or your head you're not getting any glare in your eyes. But if you're looking down like I was repairing an engine, you're going to have to adjust the angle. It would help if the side lamps were adjustable, but for the price of these it was easier to adjust the headlight. They are very bright. I've got no complaints. So far they've really held a charge and I could not be happier.Ver másVer menos

Good headlamp choice, effective field of illumination
These actually work pretty well. I got them for taking the dog for a walk at night, looking for shark teeth, and preflighting aircraft at night. I really haven't used them for the shark teeth yet, and I don't think they make quite enough light to do that effectively, but maybe. They do a nice job of lighting up the area in front of you. I don't make much use of the spotlight setting or the dimmer wide beam setting, so it's pretty much just the bright wide beam that I use. They do charge fairly quickly and seem to last fairly well. The hands free on/off feature is nice to have and works pretty well. I paid about $32 for them when I ordered them, and at that price I would consider them a good deal. Haven't had any problems with fit or adjustability.Ver másVer menos
