Perfect rig, very sturdy, great value!
Great product. I am just getting into sim racing and if you are reading this, you already know the price range of all of the peripherals one this one is a great value. I can say that there is minimal flex and this seems very sturdy. I am 5 foot 10 and 240 pounds and it fits me very well.It took about an hour and a half to put together. The seat is very comfortable. My wife is 5 foot two and we had to put a pillow in the chair for her to use it although she was just checking it out and does not really race.The pedal plate can be adjusted by bolts, there is no lever that adjust them. The shifting plate also has some adjustments. It was super easy to set the video monitor. The positioning of the monitor is perfect.We found the directions very easy to follow and had no issues. Especially on the first half of the set up, there’s an advantage to not tightening the bolts all the way until you get closer to the end.I did feel that this was a little low to the ground and a little challenging for me to get out of. We built a platform. Used 2 x 12 x 6and some deck boards. It cost me $32 at Menards to build and took me an hour. if I had to do it over again I would use 2x8 or 2x10 and make that stand a little bit lighter.Ver másVer menos

Great product at the price
For the price, you can't beat it. Great little cockpit.Great:Priced around $330 is incredible for a cockpit with a stand and a seatThe seat is comfortable and the rail mechanism is fantastic for making it easier to get in and outThe seat has plenty of reclining capabilityMy g920 will never be close to being too strong - cockpit is very stable overallThere is minor adjustablitiy in the steering wheel mountMinor adjustability with the pedalsThe monitor mount is sturdyIncludes a small mount for shifter/handbrakeLess than great:Not enough rake in the seat, i added spacers on the front to make my hips a little lower than my kneesI sweat pretty easily, the seat material isn't breathable. Only notice if i'm sitting there for >1hr.The rail system is only on the right side, so there is some "give" on the left side. I barely notice it while playing.The shifter mount is not very stable, in multiple locations.The shifter mount plate is small and has a weird curved edge on the bottom that could make "rigging it" difficult. There was plenty of room for me with my cheap generic handbrake and g920 shifter (one screw and table clamp holding them on)The monitor stand places the monitor very far away from you. I bought a wall mount kit and connected my monitor using that.If price isn't a concern, I'd get one with a little more adjustablity. But if price is no concern, you should get an aluminum one anyway.This thing is fantastic for the price point and all of the issues can be adjusted on your own or not bad enough to notice.Ver másVer menos

It's solid - highly adjustable and well designed and built
It arrived earlier than expected and was very well packaged. The individual pieces were powder coated, wrapped in plastic, and secured in styrofoam cut-outs inside the box. The monitor stand was packaged in its own box (inside the big box), which made sorting/assembly more manageable. Assembly was straightforward, all the holes lined up and everything fit together as they should. All bolts, washers, nuts, spacers, and etc were sealed in plastic and labeled. Most importantly, there were no missing parts.The integrated monitor mount provides consumers an option for a self-contained cockpit. It allowed me to tuck it away in the corner. I've been using it for a week and find it comfortable, sturdy and solid. For this price point, I'm impressed with the quality of the material, well thought out design and workmanship. It is very functional; far more sturdy/stable than I'd hope for. I would recommend this cockpit.Oh, it's heavy, probably upward of 40 pounds. Some of the design considerations worthy mentioning:1. diameter of tubular frame is large and beefy enough2. the metal brace on each side adds rigidity, allowing the different sections to work together as a single solid frame.3. the seat reclines and slides. the wheel/shifter/pedals mounts are adjustable so one should be able to be comfortable in it.Overall, I am very impressed and satisfied with my purchase.Ver másVer menos

Quality, rigid, affordable piece of equipment review from a track day enthusiast
The build quality is top notch, the instructions are easy to follow, the size is perfect for an office that is dense with furniture but arranged. I appreciate the fact that it is not "one thousand" pieces to put together. Obviously an over exaggeration but the point is it is easy to assemble. The bucket seat itself could use a little extra padding and support for the hips and lower back but it's not too far off an actual bucket seat as I compare it to the bucket seat in my GTR. I would also compliment its maneuverability and most other rigs feel stiff and heavy. Overall a 9.5/10 for the price point. I would give a 10/10 but I am an avid supporter of the concept that there's always something we can improve upon. Cheers!Ver másVer menos

Great mid-grade Sim rig with some high-end features
The ARES WING Sim Rig is made of high quality materials and goes together fast (about and hour and a half by myself).Cushioning on the seat is comfortable for longer sessions and the adjustability was perfect for a short guy like me.I ran into a couple of tight pre-theaded holes in the base frame under the seat that took some effort to put together, other than that, instructions were clear and concise.I am using this right with a Logitech G29 wheel and pedals. Both the wheel mount and pedal board feature high levels of adjustability and proper mounting holes for most setups. I would however be wary of adding some higher force direct drive wheels to the mount without increasing the structural integrity.Overall, this rig provides great comfort, rigidity, and adjustability for the price. I can definitely recommend this to those who may not be looking to pay for an aluminum rig just yet.Ver másVer menos

Well worth the money!
Seat is absolutely amazing for the cost! I used a larger TV so I had to modify the amount a little bit, but I didn’t have to drill any holes. If you follow the instructions where it specifically tells you not to over tighten or fully tighten the bolt, no drilling is needed. The seat is extremely comfortable, but definitely not for larger people. Steering wheel and pedal angle is perfect and both are extremely sturdy. My only complaint is that I wasn’t able to order two at the same time.Ver másVer menos
