The connection is easy. It works well, even in low light. I have not used the sound feature on this for the location. I have it in. I like how personalities I can unplug it and move it anywhere.   Noticeable upgrade from older Ring cameras

  Replaced an older Ring camera with this Outdoor Cam Plus (plug-in, newest model) and the upgrade is immediately obvious. The 2K video is sharper with better detail, and the wider field of view covers more area with fewer blind spots.Motion detection is more consistent than the older model it replaced, and alerts have been timely and reliable. Night vision performance is also improved, especially in low-light areas.Setup was straightforward in the Ring app and it integrated seamlessly with the rest of my Ring devices. As with any Wi-Fi camera, placement and signal quality matter, but once installed it’s been stable.If you’re on the fence about upgrading from an older Ring camera, this is a worthwhile step up without jumping to a fully wired system.Ver másVer menos

  Amazing camera!!

  I’ve been really impressed with the Ring Outdoor Cam Plus. The image quality is the first thing that stands out. The camera delivers a crisp, clear picture, both day and night, which gives me confidence that I can actually make out important details like faces or cars. The night vision is especially solid compared to other cameras I’ve tried.The other big plus for me is the ease of setup. From the moment I scanned the QR code, the Ring app walked me through the process step by step, and I had it up and running in just a few minutes. I went with the plug-in version for convenience, but I also picked up an extra battery to keep on hand as a backup in case of power outages. That flexibility in powering the camera is a huge bonus and takes away a lot of the worry.Finally, I like the form factor. The design is compact and clean without being bulky or awkward. It doesn’t look out of place mounted outside the house, and it feels sturdy enough to handle the elements.   Good for the majority of people

  Pros: They have video that is easier to see than standard 1080p cameras.They are easy to install and setup. Black is still the 'it' color.Being Wifi is huge. You can install anywhere.Very easy to use.Cons:It seems like they don't have very stong wifi receivers as the video very often gets blurry.I have an Asus mesh system and it's pretty fast, so I don't think it is that.I also noticed that if the internet goes out, these go down as well, even if I'm on the network and it's still up. Thats a very big issue and makes these cameras useless during that time.Bottom line: they are a starter camera and good enough to watch things, but if you want more security and features, you're gonna want to go with a bigger, more expensive setup.They will work perfectly for everyday people that want to catch porch pirates and meth addicts steal your catalytic converter..Ver másVer menos

  No Hardwiring, No Battery Charging!

  This camera is exactly what I was looking for! I didn’t want to hardwire a camera, and I definitely didn’t want to keep taking it down to recharge batteries. Being able to just run the cord to the nearest outlet made installation so easy. I installed it myself without any help, which was a huge plus.
