Setting up their habitat is a breeze – simply dechlorinate clean tap water or opt for RO water, cycle your tank with some aquatic plants, and watch your shrimp colony flourish. Remember to steer clear of tap water laden with harmful metals or chemicals. Maintaining optimal tank parameters is key to a successful Neocaridina colony. Keep the temperature between 65-80°F, pH levels at 7.5-8, TDS between 170-250 ppm, and KH levels at 100-120. Great experience, will be back for more!
Overall great experience. Got a huge number of shrimp (had to be at least thirty) for a great price. Shipped within a week of ordering, delivered in two days.Shipping box was clearly labeled for live animals. Despite this, it was smashed pretty badly during shipping. Because the order was double bags in heavy duty bags with a large amt of air in the bag, no shrimp were smooshed. But maybe putting something sturdy inside like styrofoam inserts would help avoid future issues. Outer bag also leaked a bit causing the box corner to be soaked, but didn’t come from the inner bag thankfully.All shrimp survived their journey and acclimated great. I have ordered from many other more prominent sellers and have never had an order arrive fully intact with zero deaths or stressed shrimp. These guys were healthy and active and immediately went to work in the tank cleaning and exploring. Sizes ranged from juveniles to adults. Colors also varied, but appeared to be predominantly low grade cherry shrimp. I got two gorgeous blues and a few pretty yellows as well.Fwiw, if color grade matters to you, reach out to the seller first. These are definitely not high grade colors and most likely breeding will result in wild types quickly. I don’t personally care as I just enjoy the fun little shrimp!All of the shrimp in the photos/video are from this seller with the exception of the Amano in the foreground.Highly recommend! This is my first time ordering live shrimp on Amazon, and I have to say I am thoroughly impressed. Will definitely be purchasing frm here again. Not only did the package arrive at the earliest estimated time, but I was also incredibly scared that most of the shrimp would die because it was shipped across the country, and the extremely hot weather we are having right now. All of the shrimp survived except 3. There were also baby shrimp wth nearly 23+ live shrimp in total.I will be updating in about 24 hours. It's been 6 hours since receiving the package, acclimating, and putting them in the fish tank. The only bad thing is I didn't really get a good mixed color of shrimp; the only colors I got were red and blue, all the others were translucent, which kind of sucked, considering I wanted to at least get some yellow and orange, but the colors are beautiful anyway.But I give this whole experience a 9.5/10, beautiful shrimp, and amazed at how many survived and are doing very well so far. Just hoped for a little more variety in the color, but will definitely shop from the seller again.Ver másVer menos

i love my shrimp friends!! order these!
i ordered these shrimp a few months ago. i was very nervous about ordering from amazon. the first shipment had a couple missing/doa and the seller immediately sent out replacements for me. i waited to make a review until they were established.these shrimp are absolutely thriving! i’ve had multiple sets of babies already and the colors are vibrant. they all have so much personality. they are also durable. i somehow got damselfly larva in my tank and had to break everything down, catch every single shrimp (including two dozen babies) and put them all in my bare quarantine tank (10 gallon from a 20) and i didn’t lose a single shrimp from stress. they were in the tank for at least a week or two while i replaced my substrate and plants. very proud of them, they’ve had even more babies since then.the only thing i would watch out for is the green fungus. i recently found one shrimp that had it and immediately quarantined him. it shows up on the underbelly and looks like little yellow specks/branches depending on when you catch it. it is NOT eggs and it is not the saddle. it is on the exterior underbelly. none of the other shrimp are showing any signs of it, but i am keeping a close eye on them.please ignore my very dead java ferns, i can never keep them alive but i keep trying lolVer másVer menos

Just do the drip acclimation. You'll be thankful for it in the end and your shrimp will thrive.
The shrimp arrived quickly and they were all alive, beautiful and active. We received 22 brightly colored, large shrimp. With time for temperature acclimation and a 2 hour drip acclimation, they all survived the transfer to the tank. They are thriving and I would definitely order from this seller again!Ver másVer menos

I had a horrible experience with another seller buying shrimp before, so I went into this purchase skeptical and nervous. Plecos & Beyond, however, exceeded all expectations!They sent me extra shrimp, but I had not a single DOA on delivery! All of them arrived healthy and active, and every one of them has survived the acclimation process. These are healthy hardy shrimp, I’m seriously impressed and so grateful. They’ve been adjusting to my 10gallon tank for a couple days now and I’m seeing tons of healthy molts and happy shrimp 🥹💖The color variety was predominantly red, but also some gorgeous blues and yellows, even one peach and just a couple wild types. I was never concerned about color quality but they sent me some nice quality reds, I love them!If you’re a first time shrimp buyer, save yourself the heartache and choose these guys over other vendors, I had a horrendous experience prior but Plecos & Beyond has restored my faith in the hobby. Good quality live shrimp
Received 23 shrimp with my order all but 1 in good health! Seller provided very thorough instructions on wait time and proper acclimation which made the transition super smooth. The colors are vibrant and the shrimp are spry and happy. I really appreciate all the care that went into packing these shrimp.
