Does what I needed for a fraction of the cost
It's a little finicky but works well once you get the hang of it. After battling to get the joysticks removed from a switch pro controller using solder wick decided to give one of these tools a go. I'm sure the dedicated solder sucker pistol handle tools would probably work better but this setup is in a different category of pricing. It's exactly what it looks like, a combination of a cheap soldering iron with a cheap plunger solder sucker. Worked pretty good though, was warm enough to get the solder melted. If you don't get it all the first go it helps to flood the joint and try again. Flux helps too. I haven't noticed it getting clogged at all yet, but they included a little rod to clear blockages if needed. KeenWise, including an additional heat element so you can try to fix it yourself if the first fails?? Do you think I'm the kind of customer that would take a crack at fixing my own stuff?? Because...KeenWise is 100% right. 5 stars from me. If you're expecting more at this price point, you're asking too much.Ver másVer menos
