Just as good as Salon Laser, at a fraction of the cost
This IPL is amazing. I have had professional laser treatments at the salon many years ago so I needed a touch up. I tried another IPL over several months with disappointing results. This unit is the bomb. It works and results for me were quick and comprable to salón results. The unit has a cooling device built in that is amazing. Zero irritation, easy and quick to use with excellent coverage. The price can’t be beat. Don’t waste your money on other IPLs. This is the only one you will need. As far as the durability, other reviews note that theirs stopped working, however, I posted a question for the seller, and they immediately got back to me and offered to resolve the problem. The problem ended up being operator error (me). I was very impressed with the customer service so not worried about the durability as the seller seems to be very responsive to any issues that may arise. Buy it. You will get the results you are looking for.UPDATE:I used my IPL on my lip, chin and upper neck area on April 19 for the first time. I carefully shaved the area. This is important because this helps the light to be concentrated on the root, which helps zap it to oblivion :)I went ahead and started at level 9 because years ago when I had treatments at the salon, my skin was able to tolerate a high setting on a professional machine, so I wasn’t scared at all. 😂At first I used the manual trigger feature until I got used to the equipment, mainly to be sure I was able to tolerate level 9. I handled it like a champ.I moved into the auto zap feature. It zaps about every two or three seconds or so. This will give you time to move the gun over slightly. I say slightly because I found that this provides better coverage and prevents missing a section.It’s been about four weeks.I have been watching my face, chin and neck like a hawk in my lighted magnified vanity mirror. Each time I check, my enthusiasm reaches a new level of joy.At this point, not only have I seen zero evidence of new growth, my skin is a smooth as …. Well, you know.Please keep in mind that different areas have different growth cycles, and there are three different growth cycles occurring simultaneously at any given time.Your face cycles through every four to six weeks. The IPL will only work on the hair that is in the growth stage.I learned all of this from the laser technician at the spa that I had treatments at twenty six years ago.I believe my growth cycle is closer to six weeks, so I anticipate needing a few more zaps in a couple weeks and probably one more treatment six weeks after that. Hopefully, only occasional maintenance treatments after that.I can’t put into words how happy I am with this IPL. I rate it 12 out of 10.The last one that I used for months was nothing but a disappointment. I wish I had found this IPL first.I will up date again in six weeks, but so far, so very, very good!!!UPDATE 2:At exactly 5 weeks, 2 days I’m seeing new growth. It’s sparse, but it’s there. This is the second cycle of the three growth phases so expect this at 5-6 weeks for the first 5-6 months.One thing I forgot to mention in prior reviews:After treatment, it will take about 2 weeks for treated hair to be ejected from the compromised hair follicle. It will seem like the hair is still growing, but be patient and resist the urge to pluck it out. It will fall out on its own.UPDATE:It’s been 5 weeks and 2 days since my last treatment, which would have been my second treatment. I couldn’t find any new growth in my regular lighted mirror, so I flipped that bad dog over to the magnified side and went on a quest to find any new growth. I am extremely thrilled to report that I found a total of 5 hairs all in one spot, and that’s it! I’m pretty sure that it was a spot that I missed on the prior treatment. I zapped those, and continued my search, but I came up empty handed. I can’t tell you how happy I am with this product.If you want to save hundreds of dollars by skipping the salon laser treatments, this IPL is for you!This IPL is at the top of my list for favorite Amazon purchases. The heavens have opened up, and I've been shown the light!
First off don't walk, run to your Amazon cart to buy this product! I don't always leave reviews, but when I do, you can rest assured that I'm actually impressed. I started taking HRT about 5 years ago. Everything about that was amazing EXCEPT I started growing facial hair. When it began, I used a dermaplaning razor. Soon that wasn't enough. In the early days of not realizing how big of an issue this would eventually be, I had convinced myself that I could just wax it off. That left me with pimple looking ingrown hairs and raw skin. I tried Nair hair remover. Bad idea. I shaved. My teenage kids made fun of me, and I know my husband was secretly grossed out with me, as I was of myself. I am fit, attractive and yet I would sooner have walked into a room of strangers naked then allow someone to look at my chin and neck up close. My hair was becoming coarser, so I finally went and got professional laser treatment. I spent a lot of money and time going to these appointments every few weeks and in the end, it really didn't do anything. Caveat here though is I could not stop myself from plucking regularly and that may have kept me from getting optimal results. The goal is to shave and shave again. The problem with that is that it left me by the end of the day feeling like I had a 5'oclock shadow and I was hyper aware of what this felt and looked like. It had become the thing I was most insecure about. I don't say this to shame anyone, but I've seen people who are completely unaware of their facial hair and I promise you, people notice. I was no longer in denial but felt like I had tried absolutely everything. My go to was now plucking every single day. My morning ritual was get my coffee, go to my magnetized mirror and started plucking. I've spent a lot of money on amazing tweezers. If I'm honest, as much as I loathed these hairs sprouting every single day, I also rather enjoyed the satisfaction of plucking them too. Fast forward to this product. In my desperation and no longer being able to ignore that this was a real and ugly concern, I decided to give the IPL hair remover a shot. The one thing I did tell myself is that I would not pluck during the process. I know they say to start off on a lower level and that it's not ideal for redheads, BUT I have had professional treatment before with no side effects so jumped to level 9 and although I'm a redhead, my hair has naturally darkened a bit so the IPL could likely still pick up on it. They also say to use it 2-3 times per week. I ignored those recommendations and did at least 4x per week. No regrets! I let those hairs grow, zapped them, then shaved again. I did this daily. By end of week two, I wasn't sure what was happening. I know I still had to shave daily and I one day going into week three I couldn't take it anymore. I decided that I was going to pluck these hairs that I had been zapping regularly. OMG, what I didn't expect to happen was that they didn't grow back. I am now zapping 2-3x per week, but I am not having the hairs grow back. Those thick, coarse hairs have been gone for almost two weeks now. My face is soft to the touch and I'm in disbelief daily. I still have lighter softer hair that I'm targeting, and I know it's getting them because you can smell the hair burn (the same smell as a fly in a fly zapper) and I find that oddly satisfying. Probably because I know it's working. I wish I had done this sooner. Like years ago. I will continue using this and confident that my facial hair will never be the problem it was before. I can't tell you how even subconsciously not waking up to facial hair has made me less stressed. I bought this product because of others reviews and I have to say that the quality is more than sufficient. As of right now my results are better than with professional IPL. If you are on the fence, think that you've tried everything, or ready to give up, don't. Just buy this and use it regularly. It will work!

BUY IT!!!
This is the best thing I’ve ever bought from Amazon and I buy a lot from Amazon. I got this on prime day. I started using it June 24. It’s now August 10 and I’m as smooth as a dolphin from the eyelashes down. For context, I’m Italian, with dark hair that if I shaved in the morning would be prickly by the afternoon. I’m now only using it once a week until I get to the 8 week mark where I’ll then use it once a month. I have not even used 100,000 caps and I did my whole body so this device will last awhile. It doesn’t hurt. On occasions it’ll hit an area that will feel like a rubber band snapping your skin. I used it on the highest setting from the beginning. Worth Every Penny
I absolutely love this IPL device! I had professional laser hair removal done at a salon a few years ago, but I still had some stubborn, sparse hairs on my lower legs and underarms. This device completely took care of them.I also decided to use it on my entire bikini area, and I’ve been so impressed with the results. I started cautiously on a low setting for the first week just to make sure my skin tolerated it well. After that, I gradually increased to level 9 and used it about every three days.After just a few weeks, the difference was incredible. The hair is either completely gone or dramatically reduced compared to before. The ice cooling feature also makes treatments much more comfortable than I expected.If you’re patient and consistent, this device really works. For a fraction of the cost of professional treatments, it’s been one of the best beauty purchases I’ve made. Highly recommend!Ver másVer menos

Dolphin legs
I loved (almost) everything about this. I didn't even use it for the full treatment cycle, but it worked! I definitely need to do more for maintenance but wow. My leg hair used to grow so quickly, but after the first month, there was a VERY noticeable difference in where my hair was growing and how quickly. While the device does heat up quickly (I let it cool down in the middle of sessions sometimes), it only takes me about 10 minutes total to do the lower section of both legs.The reason I don't think it deserves a full 5 stars is mainly this: it hurts and zaps your freckles. I have very white skin with dark brown freckles on my legs and this feels like a rubber band snap when it hits one. It's fairly easy to avoid doing, but still worth noting. Also make sure you don't use it over tattoos. My one other issue is that it didn't work on my armpits. But it worked so well on my legs that it's hard to care!If you're cheap like me and also have the desire to have less hair, this is a great product and well worth the money!Ver másVer menos

Life saver for those with constant ingrowns / HS
The answer for those who have seemingly impossible to prevent ingrown hair - possibly Hidradenitis Suppurativa.I am fairly certain I have HS, or at the very least have similar struggles (tons of scarring from ingrown hair, small cysts, tons of visual bumps and scabs from picking)I had no confidence in my control with that situation. Doctors would advise me on shaving techniques, but I’d literally do everything. I’m shocked they didn’t recommend laser.Not only does it assist with not having to shave in the future, it destroys hair follicles, which releases trapped ingrown hairs. I had TONS of trapped hair under my skin that would constantly cause irritation. Attempting to extract would yield some results, but ultimately scar me worse and not resolve the hair fully. I had a specific spot since I was 16 I could never clear — and it’s clearing up!!It destroys the follicle and the hair is loose under the skin finally. As your skin does its natural growth processes it can finally push the trapped hair to the surface on its own.Laser also destroys and reduces cysts under the skin!! So on top of treating the trapped skin causing the irritation , it actually assists directly by eliminating some of the fluid under your skin.Not having to extract them anymore, having them come to the surface on their own, and having the small cysts be managed has done a lot for the look and overall health of that area.I even continue to shave as I’m still in the process, and I do not gain any additional ingrown or irritation anymore upon doing so - this apparently is likely due to the remaining hair being thinned from the laser over time, reducing the curl.The preexisting redness I had completely subsided after a month, and most remaining issue areas have shrunk and became a lot less noticeable. The area is very close to clear, and I obviously have a lot more benefit the laser can provide hair wise, so I’m hopeful! (As it’s mostly thinned with some spottiness right now, not yet smoothed - still have some treatment to get through!)Totally recommend, especially if you’re suffering trying to manage ingrown hairs and the wreckage they cause on and under your skin!!Ver másVer menos
