Great deal and an amazing tool!
This Hot Tools 2” extended barrel curling iron is a fantastic find. For the price, it feels like a professional-quality tool that delivers beautiful loose waves and volume without a lot of effort. The large barrel makes it easy to create soft, relaxed bends, and the 24K gold surface heats evenly and glides smoothly through hair. It holds a curl really well and doesn’t leave my hair feeling fried. The extended barrel is especially nice for longer hair.Really happy with this purchase — solid performance and a great value. Highly recommend if you want easy, natural-looking waves.Ver másVer menos

Best curling iron EVER
I have been using Hot Tools for over 20+ years. They are great curling irons, last, heat up quickly and do not damage your hair. The heat setting is outstanding.I had this saved as I always like to have a back-up curling iron for travel and you just never know how long you'll have your iron before it dies. I needed a replacement and decided to go for it during the Amazon Days when it went on sale. The value for the money was well worth the wait. This curling iron is easy to use, looks great, has a long cord and wraps up easy for travel.I would highly recommend this iron, I've had so many of them over the past couple of decades, all Hot Tools are great products.Ver másVer menos

Very curling iron I’ve ever used!
This is the best curling iron I have ever had ! Although I have a lot of hair, it’s very fine and curly-frizzy, and about shoulder length. Every other curling iron left dents in my hair.. but not this one. It grips the hair and is easy to roll. Now I have smooth, shiny hair with just the right amount of lift and shape. And it stays that way for 2-3 days. This is a first for me. I for the 2” barrel. Unlike other irons I’ve had this has a ginger hole at the end of the iron that makes it easy to hold the iron at the angle I want without burning my finger. Tip: I did buy a pair of silicone ear covers so I do not burn my ears. I love them too.Ver másVer menos

Loving it!
I love it! I'm a beginner at curling my own hair, normally I've only ever flat ironed it to make it sleek and straight. Im naturally slightly wavy, medium thickness hair (leans more coarse) and a lot of it, and i feel like this iron is very easy for someone new to curling and with a lot of hair. Heats up pretty fast. Picture isn't perfect because I am pretty new to doing it on myself but it definitely makes a smooth curl!Ver másVer menos

The Swivel Cord Doesn’t Function Well
I’m a big fan of the Hot Tools Model 1102…but the OLDER version of this curling iron with the twist-knob temperature control, not this “newer” version with the push-button temperature control. My main problem with this newer model—and the reason I almost immediately stopped using it and went back to the older versions, and only pull this one out when my newer version is unavailable—is that the SWIVEL CORD IS USELESS. It doesn’t really swivel. That means that by my third curl, I’m trying to untangle the cord by holding the product upside down and letting it dangle, like we used to do back in the days of telephone cords—and all this does is slow me down in the morning when I’m trying to get ready, AND it adds to my stress/exasperation levels. Secondly, I do agree with the other low ratings that the wand seems to “catch” a little more on the hair than the older models do, though for me it’s still a darn good curling iron in that respect, because of the generous, non-heated tip at the end, which allows me to hold the wand at the end and control the “catch” without burning my fingers (this is the reason I switched to the Hot Tools 15 years ago—I was tired of burning my fingers on the wands of cheaper brands that didn’t have a large, non-heated tip)—so I do appreciate this aspect of this newer model. I also agree with the lower ratings that mention how the push-button control doesn’t seem user-friendly and is a bit confusing, though once I figured it out it seemed second-nature—but I will admit that there is NO second-guessing the turn-knob model. I gave it a one-star because I am trying to send a message to the company to DISCONTINUE ANY of the models that have this version’s issue with the swivel cord! Perhaps I simply bought the only swivel-cord lemon out there—but if this is a systemic problem with this version, I wanted the company, and the consumer, to know about it. Thank you! Other than this, it’s a great iron, in my opinion—that’s why I keep buying the older versions and I hope those remain available for a long time.Ver másVer menos

Be careful of burning your skin
I love it it's great and gives the best results. It heats up very fast, and it has a holder to not burn the surface you put it on. The only problem is you can easily burn your skin because of how hot and big it is and how it doesn't have a comfortable space for the handVer másVer menos
