Expensive but worth it
Expensive but well worth the cost in build quality and usefulness. I don't have to ask for help racking equipment and still do it safely. Be sure you adjust the the tool because out of the box it was too loose in my network racks.

Where was this device 20 years ago? A life saver
I have been in IT for 30 years. After working in many data centers and standing in front of countless server / networking racks, this product has been a life saver. This has made mounting new hardware much safer, has cut my install/ mounting times down considerably. Great tool and super handy. An easy decision to buy and I highly recommend this to anyone installing networking equipment especially if they do so alone. It's better than a second pair of hands! Don't wait, buy it. WARNING: DAMAGES RACK RAILS
I am returning this, here’s why:I spent about 45 minutes adjusting it, installing, testing it, and so on to try and get a nice fit.In the process, this thing scratched some of the coating off my threaded rack rails.If I adjust it for a tight fit, it scrapes and causes damage.If I adjust it for a looser fit on the rail, it just sags.Maybe this thing is great if you’re in IT using square holes……. but for threaded holes in an AV rack, this just isn’t it.Instead, I’m grabbing a 1U steel shelf with no lip so I can install it upside down.I’m also picking up 10-32 thumb screws to make it easy to install and remove the temporary shelf without a screwdriver.This solution is much cheaper, won’t damage my rack rails, and will work just as well.I don’t rack and unrack equipment daily, so the upside down shelf is a perfectly fine solution for me and it’s what I’ll be going with.Ver másVer menos

Where has this thing been all my life?
This fairly simple device makes inserting and removing heavier, and even light, rack-mounted equipment so much easier, especially when you're working alone. It also works great as a temporary laptop stand. My only complaint would be the price, but it is so well- designed and useful, I think it's worth every penny.Ver másVer menos

4 star product that could be a 5 with some adjustments
Very helpful for installing equipment solo. It's also nice that it doubles as a spot for my laptop as well when I'm working in a data room. It would be a 5 star product if it had a place to store the spare pins for threaded/non-threaded racks and a way to adjust for different rail widths without the need of a separate tool.Ver másVer menos
