  Excellent Replacement for my LG Magic Remote

  I bought this Magic Remote replacement for my LG Smart TV after my original LG remote finally gave out, and honestly I’m really impressed with how well it works.One thing I was a little worried about before buying was whether it would actually work with my specific LG TV model, but compatibility ended up being a complete non-issue. My TV recognized the remote almost immediately during pairing, and once it connected it behaved exactly like the original LG Magic Remote that came with the TV. I feel like pointer, scroll wheel, voice search, and navigation buttons work even better than old original rc. It’s clearly designed to integrate with LG’s smart TV system, so everything from navigating menus to opening apps felt completely native and seamless.Setup was super easy. I just put in two AA batteries, turned on the TV, pointed the remote at the screen, pressed the wheel (OK) button, and within a few seconds it paired automatically. No complicated setup or programming at all, which I really appreciated.What surprised me the most is how much it feels like the original LG Magic Remote. The pointer function works great — I can move the on-screen cursor around just by moving the remote, which makes navigating apps like Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, and YouTube way easier and it's kind of "fun" to use compared to the boring arrow keys. The voice function also works perfectly, so I can search for shows or open apps just by speaking into the remote, but I rarely use it since I enjoy the magic pointer function so much. I use my LG TV a lot for streaming apps and cable and this remote has made controlling everything really smooth again. The buttons feel responsive, the scroll wheel works great for navigating menus, and the overall design is comfortable to hold.All in all I would say this replacement honestly restored my TV experience back to normal. I find myself sitting on the couch a bit more than I'd like to admit. It looks like the original, feels like the original, and performs even better. For around $24, it’s a really solid value compared to buying a much more expensive official replacement and going through all the hassle of contacting the manufacturer and jumping through those hoops.   It’s easier to use than the original, and buy two if you have a puppy

  I bought this remote because of advice from a YouTube video. After I bought a new Samsung TV, I watched videos on how to use it and its capabilities.The host recommended this remote control because it is easier to understand and larger than the original. He’s right!In my pictures, I put this remote between my Dish remote and the TVs original. This shows the relative size difference.I’ve only had the remote for about 30 hours and the TV for about 60 hours. I’ve already given up on the original “smart”, solar powered, too small for my hand, original Samsung remote. That’s only a microphone for me to use for the TVs voice control or search engine that I’ll probably never use.If you have, or if you’re looking to buy a less than 4 year old Samsung smart TV, I recommend you get this remote too.No programming needed, just insert two AAA batteries and it’s ready.Edit, 13 months later: I’m needing to replace this remote because my now 7 month old puppy has finally destroyed it.She has also destroyed the original remote, so I’ve ordered two more of these. It’d be a good idea, because of the low price, to get two of these and keep one in a safe place your dog won’t find. Especially if you have a puppy.This remote did work fine until she got her teeth into the buttons. She had already scratched it, but it was still working.I just received the new remotes and they both work perfectly for me. I put one back into the bubble wrap and I’m going to hide it from her. It’s just an insurance thing so I’m never without a remote for this tv again. If or when she destroys the one I use, I’ll use the other and buy another insurance policy one. I use about seven different remotes for my different devices. Some are too outdated to replace with new ones. Those remotes stay hidden.I don’t like the idea of one remote control for everything or more than one device. I like to use each device’s original remote. That’s until I bought my Samsung tv last year. I couldn’t stand the original solar powered remote it came with.I only used it when I had to. I might be old fashioned but I don’t like voice control for searching. I don’t miss that at all.Buy this remote control for your 2019-2024 Samsung tv. It’s practically identical to the ones offered before the solar powered one came along. Great price for a good remote. I only wish it was built with stronger materials and was more puppy proof.Edit 2: Just 2 days after getting the new ones, she chewed buttons out of the one I was using. I can’t find it and now I’m going to have to use the insurance one and buy more insurance. It’s not the remote’s fault that my new puppy likes the taste of this thing and has new sharp teeth. I bought two of them again today so I don’t lose advantage of the current 34% discounted price. I’m more worried about my dog chewing on the batteries than having to buy another replacement. The first time I bought this, I had a dog that was 13 years old with no teeth. It never occurred to me that my next dog would be destroying my tv remote control. This is even more evidence of the necessity to get more than one of these remotes if you have a new dog or a puppy that doesn’t know any better. I’m just praying that she didn’t get into the batteries of the one I can’t find.

  Ok

  Works as expected. Reasonably priced. I like its size compared to the “minimalist” remote that came with tv. Vizio doesn’t offer the same user-friendly remote options as other well-known brands, but it’s cheap which is all I need for a bedroom tv.

  Easy, no set up, great price.

  I popped in batteries from my old remote because I knew it wasn’t the batteries.This new one worked perfectly. No set up at all! They don’t last long but now they come in a 2 pack.

  Works about the same as a oem remote..

  Needed a replacement remote for my LG tv and was contemplating getting a OEM remote but the majority of ones I looked at were double the price and had shipping fees, so I took a chance on ordering this remote. Although its a knock-off or non brand it works the same so far. You can definitely tell the difference between the weight of this versus a oem remote. These feel lighter. Also the button response is not exactly the same but overall not a bad deal. All the buttons seems to work the same as a oem remote so far and the remote looks the same as well, so I'd say it was worth it so far. If anything changes, I'll be sure to send an update.Ver másVer menos

  Easy replacement for a lost Samsung remote

  We bought this remote to replace the original remote for our Samsung smart TV after ours was lost. It paired easily, and all of the functions work correctly.It was exactly what we needed and has worked without any issues.
