Ergonomic design flaws
The seat is advertised as 20.9” wide, but the armrests are only about 17.5” apart. I’m 6’1” and 210 lbs, and every time I sit down or stand up, the backs of my legs hit the armrests as I naturally flare my legs when sitting or standing. Whats ironic is that the chair is advertised to support up to 330 lbs. While the frame may support that weight, the narrow armrest spacing doesn’t seem designed to comfortably accommodate someone anywhere near that size.The flip-up armrests are another design miss. They don’t rotate far enough back to get out of the way, so even when they’re flipped up they still dig into the back of my arms. This defeats the purpose of flip-up armrests. The product video clearly shows the armrests rotating well behind the backrest, but my chair only rotates to a nearly vertical position, leaving them well forward of the backrest. False advertising?The lumbar support is hard plastic pressing directly against your back. Even in the most retracted position, I find the lumbar support uncomfortable. A thin layer of foam or padding over the plastic would go a long way toward improving comfort. The adjustment mechanism also becomes loose and wobbly as it’s extended.The firm seat cushion and quiet wheels are about the only positive. Unfortunately, it can’t make up for what feels like a chair that was never user tested.Ver másVer menos
