  very good value for quality

  installed this a week ago. In house with 4 boxers and a mini poodle, this is working very well so far. The construction appears to be very hardy, the locking door cover is metal with a lock that will lock in closed or open. The price is great for what you are getting. This is replacing an endura flap door that cost 3 times as much but , frankly, this one is better made. Has 3 flaps with a good magnet closure that so far is working well against windy days. We will see how it does in an alaskan winter in a few months.One thing to note- there is a huge size difference between large and extra large. We had to return the large for the extra large and noticed this issue. If you have inbetween breeds, you will have to compromise (we normally in other brands have bought large).Ver másVer menos

  Pet Door Made Easy!

  I couldn’t be happier with this pet door. The instructions were clear, well organized, and made the installation process much easier than I expected. Everything fit together nicely, and the quality of the materials feels solid and durable, not cheap or flimsy.Once installed, it worked exactly as advertised. The design looks clean, functions smoothly, and gives me confidence that it’ll hold up well over time. If you’re on the fence, I definitely recommend this pet door.   Good quality. Metal frame. I ordered the white one and I’m assuming it can be painted if needed. Size large for my Black Mouth Cur Who is 21 inches high at the shoulders. It is expandable, for wall depth. Both flaps are of good quality and strength. The flaps fall back into place with magnets and they work really well. I received only one door with it, so it can either be placed on the inside or the outside. The installation comes with a template of how to place and cut the wall for the doggie door. I might place some indoor outdoor carpet between the flaps so his nails don’t slip on the interior metal, while he’s moving in or out. I highly recommend this doggie door.Ver másVer menos

  Excellent quality pet door

  So I already have the large opening in a block wall which I used to have a very expensive dog door installed 20 years ago. I had to stop using the company as the replacement flaps had become incredibly unaffordable. I tore out the old dog door frame. I had hoped I could make this telescoping tunnel style pet door work because it's such a good heavy duty well made product. It looks weather resistant if it was exposed to the elements. The access point that I was going to use in it is covered by a shingled wood patio cover. It was packaged well with protective plastic corner brackets to prevent any damage while in transit. I recommend you double check your access opening measurements. I knew this pet door would be a bit smaller than the existing opening and felt certain I could build up the opening to accommodate it. But unfortunately the install proved too difficult for me to retrofit the Baboni pet door. Thankfully I am able to return the pet door for a refund. Everything about the pet door is top notch and clearly an excellent manufactured quality product. I can't state that enough. The door flaps are thick and good quality, the metal door slide and aluminum lock is excellent quality. Do your research and measure everything multiple times and be certain the flap size opening will be able to accommodate your pets.Ver másVer menos

  My husband gets up at 4:00 AM for work every day and lets our dogs out. They used to stampede through the house and wake everyone out of a sound sleep! I did some homework to find something that would let them go out when they want to without the chaos, and this wall door has been an absolute game-changer.The overall quality of the frame and door is fantastic. Built from sturdy metal, it gives me complete confidence in its long-term durability. The Large size gives plenty of room for passage, and it drastically reduces shedding inside the house, which makes me ecstatic!The installation was surprisingly easy and sits nicely flush against the wall so it doesn't stick out into the room. For insulation, it features a 3-flap design—the two outermost flaps are a stiff rubber-like material, while the middle flap is a bit more flexible. They mostly seal with each pass, though occasionally they need a quick nudge to settle completely flat.The security locking mechanism is a huge plus: a sturdy metal panel slides right down to lock the door when you want to keep them inside for the night or while mowing the yard.As for pet happiness, they were hesitant at first, but once they realized it granted them instant access to their backyard, they were all about it! Great value for money, keeps our house cleaner, and lets everyone sleep in.Note: upon inspection, it appears as though my husband elected to leave the metal door to the side, so the flaps are always open.   Works well, taking a while for the dogs to learn to use it

  This is a very nice dog door for the wall.I'm not sure how the seller expects the user to install using the hardware provided, given that the butterfly attachments required access to the screw. For a 4" stud wall, that's a really tight fit, although I tried (never intended to use them) I couldn't get the wing open. I suppose if you drilled a larger hole? Not going to do that.No, I used a screw that you put in the wall first, get it to expand on the sheetrock, and then installed.This is made from steel (see magnet attached). I prefer steel as it won't transfer the cold outside to the warm inside easily (as does Aluminum). It's nicely powder coated.I wish I had installed a vertical 2x4. I did install a horizontal one on the bottom. I didn't have a way to attach a vertical 2x4 to the one on the bottom (which took some creative cutting to get it to slide in given the horizontal hole requires rotating the 2x4).I used caulking on the outside (not pictured) of the frame to ensure no water leaks.I installed some stone steps given the outside was too far for our dogs to jump up to reach the door, as well as too far for them to fall. I have a Dachshund / Terrier mix, and a smaller Irish Doodle (just a puppy). Both dogs have been in & out several times. The older dog doesn't like this door, even though it's easier on his short legs.The puppy jumps in and out at will when she wants to. Other times she's hesitant. I believe because of the 3 doors, the middle one being opaque. Can't see? Hesitation. Unless she wants to, then she's all in and it's quick. She's learned to paw at one of the corners, then her nose fits easily.I suspect that after a time the dogs will both go in & out with ease. We just have to be patient.The 3 doors with 2 having magnetic "latches" allow for very good insulation. There's a steel door that can be slid in place on the inside or outside. If outside anyone outside can open. My 10 year old granddaughter checked, she couldn't fit through. A younger child if they put their arm through with head first might fit. Overall not concerned about that. The steel door has a spring mechanism to hold it up ... meaning the door doesn't need a home.I will say that I got very lucky, as the stud I attached to under the window allows just enough room to clear the window trim. Barely. I should have checked more carefully on the placement. It works, therefore no worries. I could have resolved by cutting a larger hold horizontally, but then the door may not cover?The wings for covering the hole are quite generous. I made it a fairly tight fit.The doors are replaceable. They are screwed into place. If they get warn, you can purchase another one.I plan to purchase another steel door to allow locking on the inside or outside without having to move the door.The dogs have already learned that sometimes they can't come inside (when the door is locked). They'll get used to it.Overall very happy with this purchase, as is my wife. Now we can proceed with potty training ... getting the puppy to go out on her own when she needs to.If you're getting this for a puppy, there's the challenge of not knowing how tall your dog will be, given that's not a fixed thing. The top has over an inch of clearance, whereas the bottom has more like an inch. It would be possible to remove the door, cut a slightly larger vertical hole, and move it. If you needed to move it further (due to unexpected dog growth), then wall patching inside & out would be required. The key point being the dog needs to go through comfortably at the shoulder, not their head (which bows down when going through).Update: Added final interior & exterior pictures
