Fairly unique sweet wood forward fragrance, super versatile, great value, good performance
This is a fragrance that really grew on me over time. I actually was a little surprised when I had first sampled this I realistically would have said this was kinda mid when I had first tried it but it was intriguing enough that I continued to give it a shot and it actually became one of my favorite fragrances over time. With the notes in here I really expected almost like a clean fresh plum blue fragrance but actually this is very distinctly woodier than I had anticipated.While the opening has a slight floral freshness in the initial few minutes this almost immediately adopts a rather rich yet kinda jammy plum note. Rather quickly everything but the plum relents and the main focus of this fragrance begins to take over. This is actually shockingly wood forward the palo santo and sandalwood just completely dominate and create this interesting almost creamy woodiness that is rather addicting. The plum is always there throughout the fragrance and really rounds it out to give it more depth the sweetness is rather mild and just adds to the overall richness of the scent. As it dries down it mostly just becomes a bit less distinct in the woodiness it all blends together nicely into a smooth and slightly sweet woody fragrance that is blended just right not too thick or too fleeting at any point.This is a great year round any time fragrance if you like sweet woody fragrances I think you would really enjoy this. I would still say this is distinctly a bit different than a lot of regular designer fragrances since this of course is a clone of a niche fragrance called Paragon by Initio and in that sense this might take some time to get used to like it did me. Still despite being niche I believe this actually is fairly mass appealing and this has nothing too challenging or strange if anything it just has very appreciable uniqueness. While this might lean slightly masculine I believe this is a great super versatile unique scent for anyone that is a great value and has appreciable performance.
