I got my wife the Garmin vívoactive 5, and she absolutely loves it. From the moment she started wearing it, it became a part of her daily routine in a really positive way. The watch looks great with its clean ivory design and bright AMOLED display, and it’s comfortable enough that she wears it all day without thinking about it.What’s been most impressive is how it’s encouraged her to stay more active in a natural, healthy way. She enjoys tracking her steps, workouts, and daily movement goals, and it’s motivated her to take more walks, be more mindful of her activity, and stay consistent without it feeling like a chore.The battery life has also been a big win, going many days between charges, and the GPS and fitness tracking features have been accurate and easy for her to use. It strikes a great balance between being a smartwatch and a health companion without feeling overly complicated.Overall, it’s been a great purchase. Garmin vívoactive® 5 Health & Fitness GPS Smartwatch
The Garmin vívoactive® 5 has been a great watch to help monitor my daily activities, sleep, heart rate, and so much more. I wasn't so interested in the idea of connecting to my phone but rather the health benefits. It was a great purchase. The screen size is not too large for my small 5 inch wrist, but also large enough that I can clearly see the screen. The watch was easy to set up, make adjustments to as I learn about the various functions, and was easy to connect to my phone and work benefits. I like that I am able to select which features I would like to use. Garmin is very compatible with many fitness programs. I don't have good success wearing a silicone strap so I did purchase other bands which were simple to remove and connect to the watch head. I believe Garmin was a very good choice for a first health and fitness watch for me.Ver másVer menos

Nice Basic Sports Watch
This replaced my Garmin Forerunner 55 which served me well but stopped counting laps. This beauty looks surprisingly elegant for a sports watch. My only criticism is the band is better suited for a larger-boned individual. As a slender female with small wrists I am almost on the last slot on the band.Nice evaluation of sleep mechanics and energy. Looking forward to using with sports.Ver másVer menos

The best fitness tracker I've used
I'm coming from an Apple Watch Series 5. I had gotten frustrated with the battery life and sleep tracking and wanted to see if a more fitness-focused watch would be a better fit. I'm not a big runner or someone who does a lot of intense exercise, but I do like to track my exercise and sleep and get nudges to move when I've been sitting down for too long. I also like to get notifications on my wrist without needing to pull out my phone.Compared to the Apple Watch, the first major thing I noticed was this is nowhere close in terms of smarts. I had gotten used to Apple's smooth interface, built in microphone and speaker for voice commands, and often useful apps that can be used without needing to get my phone out. That being said, after a few days I can confidently say that I don't need them. I would argue that Garmin knows what this is and what it is not - it's a fitness device first and foremost, and everything else comes second. And on that basis they nailed it - the fitness tracking has been excellent and noticeably better than the Apple Watch especially in sleep tracking. I also much prefer their approach to goals, which tracks exercise over the course of a week rather than focusing specifically on individual days. Whenever I was sick or had a down day I would feel guilty if I didn't close all of my rings on my Apple Watch, but I don't feel that same pressure with the Garmin. I do miss being able to use voice commands with my watch, but I could have gotten a more expensive Garmin if I really wanted that, and I don't think it's worth it for me.The second thing I noticed: not having to charge your watch every day is a game changer. This was easily my biggest frustration with the Apple Watch since it's marketed as a device you wear 24x7 and yet needs to be charged every day. And considering how long it took to charge my Series 5, this was a major annoyance. I couldn't charge it overnight, because I wanted sleep tracking. I couldn't charge it in the morning, because I like to start off my day with exercise and it doesn't charge fast enough to do it after a workout and before work. And if I charged it in the evening, I would often forget to put it on before bed and miss out on the sleep tracking. The Garmin is a breath of fresh air by comparison - I charge it about once a week, and with my relatively light usage it can probably go close to two. I took a multi day trip recently and I didn't once have to worry about charging my watch, which was a pleasant change.Overall I think this watch is a great fit for a more casual user who isn't running marathons but wants to track fitness and sleep and get some extras like smartphone notifications and see the weather at a glance. If you want something with more smart features and better build quality (i.e. more metal and less plastic), then the Venu might be a better fit. Or they have the Forerunner if you do run marathons. Or a bunch of other models for more specific use cases. But I would highly recommend giving this watch a try if you're looking for the same things that I am.

I’m someone who really really did not want a watch of any sort, especially not an Apple Watch or anything else that is bloated with unnecessary hardware that needs to be charged every single day. Charging a phone every day is enough of a pain without needing to add any other junk, so no thanks to the useless gimmick-loaded “smart” watches.But I really needed to do fitness tracking because without some sort of gadget I just have zero idea how lazy or not lazy I’ve been lately and whether or not I need to get at least some minimal exercise.And my #1 must have feature is week-long battery charge life. This watch is good enough, even though the battery life might be more like 5 days in some cases if you’re using it for activities a lot where the gps is turned on. But for those not running with the gps every day or constantly tinkering with it a full battery charge seems to last a week. That is, charge it for an hour on Sunday and no need to charge it again until the same time next Sunday. You could get the battery to last longer if you’re willing to shut off absolutely everything that might use more power.I started out with a Garmin vivosmart 5 because I didn’t think I needed anything beyond that, but I have sleep problems and decided I needed better sleep tracking. So I ended up with this one even though I don’t really care about random silly “apps” on a watch.Overall this watch has been excellent. It has a very good UI and the fitness tracking features a quite good. The sleep tracking is decent, but still has its issues that hopefully Garmin will fix with software updates. In particular the “nap tracking” doesn’t seem fully baked yet, and things like laying back in a recliner reading a book or watching TV can get falsely detected as a “nap”. Then there’s no way to delete a false nap on the watch or in the Garmin Connect app.There are still a few minor bugs that some people will run into but they seem to be things that can be fixed with firmware updates and I haven’t run into anything completely feature-breaking.If you feel like messing with it you can also install some “apps” like custom watch face designs or sunset/sunrise times, more detailed weather and such. But even without installing anything the watch does everything needed for health and fitness stuff.Almost all of the apps that come with the device can be uninstalled, so if you don’t need “women’s health tracking” for example then you can just remove that to free up space.Their mobile app is pretty well designed and only awkward in some parts of the configuration.The watch reliably synchronizes as long as you leave the phone app running in the background and I’ve never had any Bluetooth connection failures, lag, or lost pairings.Things that the watch is not good for are things that you’d typically use a phone for like communication, turn by turn navigation, maps, games, and such. But I don’t want a watch to do any of that stuff and I’d rather have it save its battery charge so I don’t have to charge it constantly.So overall, this is “the” watch you want if you want as little nonsense as possible and don’t want to worry about battery charge all the time but still need full health and fitness tracking stuff beyond what the $75-150 models offer. And there are also no subscriptions required.

I absolutely love this watch! I have had mine for about 6 months and got my husband the same one. I love that it gives me language and data behind how I am feeling. The body battery is incredibly validating. I am constantly exhausted even if I think I'm getting the proper amount of sleep. I love that it explains how my sleep isn't restorative enough to support full recovery from my stressful daily life. Contrasting this, my husband has a labor-intensive job but always feels fine. We will go to sleep and wake up around the same time, but my sleep scores are usually in the 50s-70s and his is almost always in the high 90s. I wake up with my body battery around 30-50%, and he wakes up fully recharged at 90-100%. It's really helpful to see how my nervous system impacts my energy levels. I can even see direct effects of mindfulness and meditation in my metrics so it helps me see progress even if I don't immediately feel it.I also do strength training, hike, walk, bike, and swim, and this is pretty good for all of those things! I like seeing what zone I am in for workouts, tracking my heart rate, and seeing my recovery data.Ver másVer menos

Battery Life Lasts One Day Only
Update. The warch did an update this week and the battery seems to be lasting a lot longer. I'll test how many days exactly and post another update.I like the look and style, however, the battery does NOT last 11 days. I received the watch yesterday, late afternoon, and charged it. Its battery was down to 15% by lunch today. I did not do any activities yesterday that would have drained the battery. My set notifications only include my phone calls and text messages - no emails.Update. Recharged a couple of hours ago and already down almost 50%Ver másVer menos

Better than Fitbit and preferred over Apple.
So far it’s been awesome. I was such a die hard Fitbit fan just because I had YEARS of data. But I finally got sick of them dying right away after a few years of use. I decided to invest in this watch since I use an Apple phone and didn’t want to get an android based watch that wouldn’t show my iMessages. So far the only complaints are that the screen is getting really scratched up from daily wear (i tried to capture it in the photo) and that the distance at which it disconnects from my phone is pretty small—so I’ll get a notification if I step into another room or out of the house that it’s disconnected from my phone. Other than that, though, it’s been awesome. I can use it to set my alarms so I don’t have to be reliant on my phone too! I also gravitated towards this because I don’t like the look of square smart watches and wanted something with a smaller clock face for my arm so it wouldn’t take up my entire wrist and also something with a longer battery life. I like how easily you can personalize the face of the watch and the set up, and choose whether or not you want it to be on at all times or just on when raised or tapped. I also love the stopwatch function. I don’t really use it to track anything other than my heart rate, so I’m not sure how accurate the other health/fitness type features are. I do like being able to track my sleep hours as well.Ver másVer menos

Opinie piszę po około 3 tygodniach od zakupu, więc zdążyłem już dobrze zapoznać się z zegarkiem. Produkt jest rewelacyjny i spełnia moje wszystkie oczekiwania, a nawet więcej. Świetne wykonanie, zegarek jest lekki, a pasek bardzo miękki, dzięki czemu praktycznie nie czuć go na ręce. Rewelacyjny wyświetlacz, na którym wszystko idealnie widać nawet w pełnym słońcu. Przy ciągłym pomiarze tętna, włączonych powiadomieniach ze smartfona, rejestracji kilku aktywności i dokonywaniu nim kilku płatności dziennie, zegarek wytrzymuje na jednym ładowaniu 7 pełnych dób i zazwyczaj jeszcze jest około 20-30% baterii. Jak dla mnie wynik rewelacyjny. Świetne modyfikowalne tarcze, które możemy za darmo pobrać ze sklepu Connect IQ. Zegarek sprawdzi się w przypadku osoby która chce mieć nieduży i lekki zegarek z płatnościami zbliżeniowymi, z ciągłym monitorowaniem stanu zdrowia i rejestrowaniem aktywności. Simple. Intuitive and nice to wear daily watch

Yo estoy contento con el producto, cumple con mis expectativas por el dinero que he pagado, no soy corredor, ni deportista asiduo, lo he usado para caminatas a ritmo fuerte y el sensor de FC va muy parejo con un sensor de pecho Polar H9 y la app de polar, el GPS a pesar de ser simple banda, marca bien el recorrido, lo he comparado caminando debajo de arboledas con el GPS de mi teléfono Pixel y el Garmin lo ha hecho mucho mejor, vengo de usar por unos años el Garmin Venu SQ y el análisis del sueño, estrés , body battery y pulsioximetria están muy adecuados, la pantalla amoled está muy bien, la visibilidad perfecta y el tacto en la misma no falla, es tan liviano que casi no se siente, no molesta al dormir, usando GPS en una sesión de caminatas diaria no llega la batería a los 7 días prometidos, notificaciones funcionan perfectamente, lo único que puedo criticar de este reloj inteligente son el conteo de repeticiones en las sesiones de fuerza sencillamente comienza bien y luego se congela y no cuenta más, ya me olvido de ponerlo en fuerza, en mi sesión de pesas lo coloco en cardio y listo, también debo decir que el motor de vibración es débil inclusive seleccionando el mayor nivel, vengo de años con el ecosistema Garmin y por ahora no pienso cambiarme, a pesar de que este reloj inteligente salió a la venta en 2023 aún recibe actualizaciones.
