Makes a great bird cage!
I was skeptical at first, I found it difficult to believe that this would be sturdy enough for what I needed, but I was quite wrong! I purchased two of this with the intent of building a budget bird cage for my incoming new pigeon. His name is Caligula.I was looking through amazon and various other retailers to find a ready made indoor dwelling for him, but everything that was within a reasonable budget was far too small for a medium-sized bird, or reviews would describe them as flimsy. The very nice ones with ample room and access were quite costly, nearly 3 times the cost of the setup I made here.I purchased two of the product this review is for, as well as one of the only clear enclosure made by the same producer (can be found on this product page by looking through the different sizes), and I was able to make this, surprisingly sturdy, and rather spacious enclosure for Caligula.The assembly was easy, it took about two hours. The final product was very solid, but still light enough weight that I am able to move it about by myself for cleaning or whatnot.I did not end up using the floor covering, it didn't fit with my final setup, which, to be fair, WAS NOT the manufacturers intended use.The final height ended up being about 4 feet high and once all of the fastenings were in place it remained rigid and stable on top of a table.Ver másVer menos
