Worth the price
My grand daughter adores her mermaid doll. She takes it to the beach and has a lot of fun. Very cute and the quality is better than I expected

ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!
I did initially buy her only to rebody as I do love the Odile headsculpt + her makeup, but I ended up loving her mermaid body as well. Ofc the face is gorgeous and you can't even notice the pixelation people are talking about, her soft blush, gradient lips and shimmery cheeks are incredible. She's rebodied in a tennis girl made to move body with a shrunken waist in the first pic, the waist was shrunken so that she would fit a peach dress from a fashion fever outfit set. Her hair is absolutely gorgeous and very soft saran, which I believe is the preferred fiber for Barbie collectors.Now onto the mermaid body, very pretty sculpt and beautifully painted with a few sparkly spots. It has very limited articulation and a detachable tail fin, not great for collectors but pretty sturdy for children. I saw another review saying that the fin doesn't stay on, but I believe they were putting it on backwards. If you attach the side with the pink gradient facing the front the fin is quite secure, requiring a bit of effort to remove it. Overall while I do wish the body had elbow articulation I also understand this is a $10 doll that many children will take to the pool/beach/bathtub.Overall I'd recommend it for both adult collectors and children, she's a gorgeous doll!Ver másVer menos

Most beautiful Barbie of the last ten years
One of the most beautiful Barbies ever and certainly the best face of the last decade from Mattel. The face mold itself is perfection (the Odile has become my second favorite after Steffie) and this screening is too precious for words. Sweet expression in the eyes (with a hint of pearlized sheen to add to that fantasy feel) and ombre lipstick. Love her hair color too.I do wish she wasn't pixelated but she is truly lovely regardless. I rebodied mine to the Tennis Barbie and bought another to keep in box because I love mermaids too.Ver másVer menos

Lovely doll to have.
She's well worth every penny even though I just wanted her head. I liked her little tiara accessory. It could actually pass as cat ears. I love her, and she's my last doll that I added to my collection for now. Of course, I had to give her a body. She needed to be part of his world. Oh, the adventures await.Ver másVer menos

Beautiful doll--but tail won't stay on
I got this doll mainly for the reason I think a lot of collectors did: the beautiful rare face sculpt and the fantasy hair that's actually made with good quality fiber (in this case, saran). On those points, this doll is stunning! Her face is perfect (minimal pixilation) and her hair is very nice indeed. However, disappointingly, no matter what I do, her tail will not stay on! The end part is supposed to snap in, and apparently does, but whenever I move her it just pops right back out! While that's less of a problem for an adult collector like me who will mostly have her on a shelf, that's very bad for anyone who wants their kid to be able to play with this. I know I would've been upset at having a "broken" mermaid! So, if you want to keep her a mermaid rather than body-swapping her onto a regular Barbie body, you may have to glue the tail in rather than relying on the snap-in-place system mattel is using.And if you do want to body-swap her to make her a regular Barbie, her skin perfectly matches the Asian Tennis Player made to move Barbie!Ver másVer menos
