As a first time maté drinker this cup is a great way to start with. The divider helps to control the serving portion, since I don’t know exactly how many oz of lose leaf to serve, I just use the divider as a guide, fill up to the rim on one side with lose leaf, and leave the other side free to pour the water through.Drink and keep pouring hot water when empty, I like my water at 140F, I’m sure avid drinkers have perfected the recipe but for now it works for me, it’s hard to get used to the taste so I like to add a little bit of lemon 🍋 and very little honey to my warm water to refill my mate. I drink until the lose leaf looses its strong flavor and potency. So far for me it lasts a whole work shift from 9am-5pm. The stainless steel cup keeps the water warm but doesn’t retain the heat for too long but personally it doesn’t bother me since I don’t like the drink hot.The straw is really special because the tip is shaped in a flat way unlike the traditional cylinder straws here in USA and I find it very comfortable to sip with since it molds in a comfortable way on your lips.I’m not an expert drinking mate but this cup makes me look like one for sure 😆.Easy to wash, like any other stainless steel a little bit of water and soap will do the job, specially if you only use it for mate nothing sticks to it, it doesn’t hold any odd odors. no need to put it in the dishwasher because honestly that would be a waste of water and electricity.Ver másVer menos

Would recommend
Been using this for a while now. The gourd, the divider and the tool are excellent. The bombilla not so much but works. I use it daily to weekly depending on my mood. Would recommend.

Makes Yerba Mate Much Easier to Drink on the Go
I really like the built-in divider that helps keep the yerba mound in place and automatically creates a separate space for pouring water.It’s especially useful when I can’t carefully control the water stream, such as when I’m in the car or working, or when I’m pouring from a thermos that doesn’t have a very precise spout. I don’t have to concentrate as much on pouring into exactly the right spot.Another big advantage is when drinking tereré. The divider naturally leaves enough open space to add ice, which makes preparing and refilling it much more convenient.Overall, it’s a very practical design for enjoying mate in everyday situations, especially when you’re on the go.Ver másVer menos

We are from Argentina and at first we couldn’t believe this product! It seemed rather bold and almost, tradition betraying, We had been arguing about the way each one of us made our mate and this has put an end to our discussion. Now there’s only one way to do it.
