My new true love. Coming from the Canon 70D the R8 is the perfect upgrade for me. The 4k video, fantastic. The 1080p slow-mo video fantastic. This sensor has great dynamic range allowing me to recover shadows in post production, and the 24megapixel allows a lot of cropping with little quality loss.I shoot photo/video swimwear portraits for paid and non-paid gigs.The only drawback is the overheating. 30 minutes into a 4k beach video shoot, and i'm having to switch to shooting photos or shooting 180fps video @ 1080p. So, if you shoot straight 4k you'll heat this camera up. That's why I mix it up, photo/4k video/1080p video etc...Battery life is also on the short end. I use a third party battery grip with x2 batteries in the grip, and that'll get me about 1.5/2 hrs then I swap batteries so I have about 4hrs total of shoot time. (Roughly 45 minutes / 1hr per battery dependingon usage). I suggest having at least 2 batteries. I have 4.Overall, Excellent camera for the price. I don't mind finding workarounds, I mostly use prime lenses so i'm used to workarounds. 🤪Ver másVer menos
