Works great. Make sure to REMOVE the blue film BEFORE using. I saw a lot of reviews of people not doing so and then complaining of the burnt plastic smell. It’s because you need to remove before use. It gets very hot and the ding for the timer is just right.NOTE: be VERY careful when removing the plastic from the sides. I ended up slicing my finger open because the metal is VERY sharp. Important to remove packing film on interior trays before using.
After unpacking, note the film coating on inside trays. The inside trays (there are 2 - one is basket/tray to be removed with sterilized items; the other is a protective barrier between basket and heating rods. Both are coated with a fine, blue'ish, plastic film (shipping/manufacturing protection) and these need to be REMOVED before using the unit. Also, the temperature units on the control dials are in Centigrade not Fahrenheit; just to note or convert when determining times/temp when sterilizing. Unit does not get hot on outside, which is good.Ver másVer menos

Updated my stars and my review.
I was excited about this product but went to test it and it starts smoking. I turned it off to cool down before I checked to see if I had gotten all the blue film off and I did have all of it off. I don't know why it's smoking. I'm not sure if I should keep testing it or just return it.UPDATE:Its fine now. After a few times running it, it stopped smoking and works great. I guess it was burning off the residue from the blue film and dust. I've used this for a few months now and works fine.Ver másVer menos
