Let’s Talk Layers
I’m gonna be completely honest with you here. When I first sprayed it on, it was very alcohol forward but after about 10 minutes, it set and you can smell the fragrance. The next morning (because I tested it after my shower the night before) and throughout the work day, I kept getting hints of the smell when was doing my day to day routine going through the motions. That was a pleasant surprise (so yes, it does last long). However, it was extremely subtle and sure I liked it but something felt like it was missing. I wasn’t super excited about it like I wanted to be. After some quick research I learned about layering, and let me tell you, using Egyptian Musk Oil as a base (since it’s also subtle) and then spraying this over it after is sets is PHENOMENAL! It doesn’t clash, they aren’t competing with each other, in fact they complement each other and the EMO helps bring out its fragrance and sharpens its edges. Not to mention, it didn’t take nowhere near as long for the alcohol smell to go away. That being said, this is about an 8/10 by itself, maybe 8.5 (only because it’s so alcohol forward at first), but it’s an easy 12/10 when using a base layer such as Egyptian Musk Oil, I’m obsessed!
