Great deal and quality

Super easy to connect, instructions very easy to follow. Screen is HUGE and great quality. Lightweight and perfect for working with laptop while traveling. Also can’t beat the price! No need to go with the ones 3X the cost, which is sometimes hard to believe.

Incredible Value for the Price!

I honestly wasn't expecting to be this impressed, especially at this price point. From the moment I plugged it in, it was truly plug-and-play. Within seconds I was up and running without having to install any drivers or mess with any settings.The picture quality is outstanding. The colors are vibrant, the image is crisp, and the Full HD resolution makes everything look sharp whether I'm working, watching videos, or using it as a second monitor.I also love how lightweight and portable it is. It's thin enough to easily slip into a laptop bag, and the included smart cover is a nice bonus for protecting the screen when traveling.The biggest surprise, though, is the value. For what this monitor costs, it performs far beyond my expectations. It feels like a product that should be priced much higher.If you're looking for an affordable portable monitor that's easy to set up, has excellent picture quality, and works right out of the box, I can't recommend this one enough. It's been one of the best tech purchases I've made, and I'd buy it again without hesitation.Ver más

Perfect for portable Pi 5 gaming setup! No lag, speakers adequate, run all from battery pack!

This portable monitor fulfilled all my desires for a portable gaming system setup, screen is very impressive, colors are accurate, viewing angles excellent, and onboard speakers are more than adequate for gaming and no lag when gaming. I have a Batocera old school console game install on Raspberry Pi 5 2GB, use Logitech F710 wireless dongle controllers, a good PD battery pack to power both the Pi and the monitor. You will need a micro to mini HDMI cable, the Pi uses micro HDMI and portable monitor uses mini HDMI input, and at first it was a bit difficult to fully seat the mini end of my HDMI cable into the monitor, but once fully inserted, it worked flawlessly! I bought a 15.6 laptop sleeve to hold the portable monitor, another compact bag for battery pack, Pi and controllers, now I'm good to go! Great, just keep your expectations in check

I have to admit, I didn't really need a portable monitor. I already had 3 regular monitors in the house, but as someone who loves tech, particularly portable tech, I wanted to pick one up just to try it out. I went with this model because it was cheap and the reviews were good.So what do I think? I'm actually fairly impressed for the price. It's quite light, and compact, not much bulkier than a full sized tablet. The build quality is decent, it's an all plastic build and should hold up to normal use. That being said, I wouldn't hand this to a child nor toss it around carelessly.In terms of connectivity, you're getting two USB C ports (for power and video) and a mini HDMI port for video. The other side gives you a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack for audio out. This gives you all the essentials. You could potentially connect 3 devices as long as they had a battery or separate power source. And while the display has on board speakers, they are frankly terrible as most monitor speakers are. They should do just fine for a zoom call or casual viewing, otherwise a good pair of pair of headphones or external speakers will help.In terms of picture quality, it's solid. It's 1080p, 60hz and supports HDR. Text is sharp, colors are decent, and I didn't have any particular gripes with either motion handling or input lag. Now I wouldn't want to use this a daily driver for PC or gaming, but as a secondary display or for traveling, it holds up fairly well.In terms of ease of use, it nails the essentials. I love how quickly the display starts up and automatically detects the proper input. It's the other aspects that I found lacking. I've never been a huge fan of folio style cases and this one is no different. It's wobbly, and I would be careful where you place it. The menus are difficult to navigate due to using an uncomfortable rocker that has a small nub that requires you to push down to actuate. Even something as simple as changing the volume is difficult because it's buried in the menu. That wouldn't be so bad if it didn't default to 50% and reset every time you took out the power.Despite these gripes, I can overlook a lot for $50. It does exactly what you need it to do, and if you're like me and want it for occasional travel or as a second PC display, then this will certainly fit the bill. If you're wanting something that's going to give you better performance and build quality, there are higher end models out there.

Perfect

The MNN 15.6" portable monitor has been an excellent addition to my setup. I’m using it as a second screen for my Microsoft Surface laptop, and it works flawlessly: crisp Full HD picture, smooth 60Hz performance, and no lag or weird compatibility issues. It’s lightweight, easy to set up, and the included stand cover makes it simple to position wherever I need it. AWESOME FOR: 2nd travel work monitor mainly for document work, for laptop

It is key to know what you want this for. I'm not a gamer so this review is only from perspective of someone who works on documents all day, logged into an office remotely. So I needed a portable 2nd monitor for when I travel with macbook M1 Air. Must have read 100 reviews and looked at dozens of youtube videos and ultimately concluded for my use case, I did not need 4K, too expensive and unnecessary; and I do not need high refresh rate, but i did want high nits (brightness). Have tested it out only for a short while and so far, subject to any update I will make to this review, here's the good and the one not so terrible "knock":THE GOOD:For my use case, the 60 hertz refresh rate is totally fine. No doubt not ideal for a gamer; if gaming is your need I would look for one that has higher refresh rate of course.The 1080P is wonderfully sharp - seems like it's better resolution than 1080P but probably just because the screen size is 15.6" so pixel density is still good.It came with several seemingly very good quality cables and a simple charger plug. Charger plug is USB A so it's not giving tremendous current but evidently it's fine. It also came with USB A to USB C cable for this charger plug to power the thing. It also came with a very nice USB C to USB C cable that plugs into one of the two (2) USB C ports (one under the other) on the left side and the other end plugs into USB C on Mac and it instantly just recognized the video stream and showed it, mirroring my Mac. Mac then lets you select to use it as an extended display. Both USB C ports on left side are labeled as USB C with a lightning bolt. I suspect this means both support the video stream and power into the device; I randomly picked one for the video connection and one for the power connection and it worked find; I suspect this means it doesn't matter which. I read on-line in specs that these USB C ports were on different sides, and only one supported video; this one is configured a little differently and perhaps just slightly updated since they wrote out their specs. NOTE - the USB A charging plug got very warm and the metal of the USB A plug was HOT when I unplugged it - I'm thinking I'm going to plug it in for power to a USB C charger to USB C port on device and see if that gives it the power it needs without heating up; will see... maybe but don't want to give it too much current and cause a problem; will think on that. UPDATE: have now used little anker usb c 20 watt charger plug with usb c to usb c for power and that worked fine and the metal usb plug at the charger did not get hot.I tested the two speakers on this monitor, having the Mac choose those speakers (all going through the one USB C cable) and the speakers are fine, just not as good as the speakers on the Mac (not really giving base but otherwise clear and sharp with OK volume). But who cares for this use case.It ALSO came with another seemingly very solid, not cheap, cable that has HDMI MINI on one side, and standard HDMI on the other. I have a USB C to HDMI (standard sized) adapter so I will try that out as well but haven't yet. Left side of the device has the HDMI mini female port for this connection. UPDATE: have now tested the HDMI cable - works fine, zero issues.Over my enterprise level (CITRIX) connection there were zero issues with recognition of the second screen so, voila, remote working with 2 monitors (Mac screen and this second screen).The thing has a bit of heft/weight to it but not terrible; maybe a pound and a half in weight. Feels fairly solidly built, not cheap.Right side has a power on switch and a little "rocker" wheel like the old school volume controls on side of transistor radios; when the monitor came on, I turned the rocker wheel up and it increased brightness to highest level. To me that's a nice direct mechanical capability to up the brightness without having to dig into settings. Naturally I put it to highest level of brightness. But, see below on this topic.UPDATE: have now also plugged it into iPad (Air 5th gen w/ usb c) and it also works perfectly both to mirror iPad or do center stage allowing a couple windows open on the extended display. Rather awesome.Finally it comes with a detachable thin case that wraps around it, covering screen when closed; and folded back using magnetic attachment to back of display, it stands at a couple different angles, similar to typical tablet covers that fold around, like on the iPad. Worked just fine.THE ONE SMALLER "KNOCK" AND A NIT:Brightness: OK so one of my hoped for criteria was high NITS; I'm not so young and wanted a bright screen. Mac M1 Air gives 400 nits; my older Mac used to give 500 nits I believe and to older eyes, BRIGHT display is really helpful. In all my reading of reviews nearly ALL of the lower cost 1080P monitors from companies with unfamiliar brand names said they did 250 nits of brightness but this one said 400. I figured, probably not true but on a black Friday sale at $79 I figured, how could I possibly really go wrong? Well, it came, and it seems pretty close to the Mac display on brightness - huge relief. Then looking at the paperwork that comes with it, it is acknowledged as only 250 cd/m2; and yet, to my surprise, it seems plenty bright and acceptable for my needs. I would NOT think it's worth it to spend another $150 for a display that purports to give 4K as those are the ones that seem to promise more nits.OVERALL I say for the price point, for the sharpness, for the ease of set up, for the cables it comes with, for the ease of use, for the seemingly solid feel to it all, and for a buyer looking for a VERY affordable option for a second "travel" display to bring with a laptop - I find it difficult to believe ANYONE could knock this thing or say it is not well worth it and quite good. A real "gem" of a find on Amazon in my view. I will update this review over time if and as I learn more or have more to note or if anything I say above changes.

excellent second screen for work travel

have had this for many months and it's made traveling for work so much easier. I'm used to dual monitors at home and do a lot of writing and presentations. This has been a life saver for me (and my eyes)! Super easy to use and connect, high quality, and like that it's a bigger screen than my laptop.Ver más

Works as advertised, but included USB-C cable was defective.

This monitor performs great! Picture quality, brightness, all work as expected. When powered by a phone, you may have to limit the brightness below 80% if you don't attach extra power. The good news is, I can attach a power bank for the extra power, and any extra power not needed by the monitor will pass through and charge my phone.I've tested this with my laptop, phone, and tablet, and it works great in all cases. One extra plus that I didn't expect, because it was not listed in the product description and also not mentioned in any reviews that I saw, is that this monitor has VESA compatible holes for a VESA mount hidden behind the magnetic cover on the back. Beautiful. If I ever decide to mount it to an arm I can do it.All the advertised functionality works as expected with ONE exception. The USB-C cable that came with this monitor was faulty. It had a short across a couple of wires which could have caused damage to my phone had my phone not recognized it and alerted me of foreign object or water in the port. That water and foreign object warning basically means something is causing wires to be connected that shouldn't be and assumes you have a good cable. In my case, it was the cable itself that was faulty, and I used a tester to make sure.While the description says "do not use other USB-C to USB-C cables", that is just to cover themselves, because many people will use a USB-C cable meant only for charging, or one that is not display compatible. I have cables of varying lengths that are Thunderbolt USB-C which all handle between 100-240W power, data up to 100Gbps, and displays up to 8K. I just used one of my cables and everything works just fine. If you're having trouble with your monitor, or intermittent connections with the monitor (I did before I got the warning) then you may have a bad cable. Get a quality cable and make sure it's rated for display port, high data throughput (ideally minimum 40Gbps), and decent power capacity. Some will work for data but not power. Some work with power but not data. Some work with power and data, but only one at a time. You have to flip the connector to go between modes. I don't know why they make those, and those that manufacture such garbage should be locked up, but that's another story for another day.Bottom line is this. It's a quality monitor. If it ever starts having issues, I'll update the review. The cables I'm not so sure of. The HDMI cable is sufficient enough for FHD display, but I wouldn't recommend swapping it over to a higher res monitor, as it probably can't handle it. The USB-C cable has quality control issues, as they sourced out inexpensive cables for this monitor to keep the costs down. No big deal for me, as I have an abundance of good cables, but keep that in mind that you may need to consider the cost of quality cables for this monitor.I'm glad I bought it. It's going to make me much more productive. While I was disappointed in the USB-C cable, it's not a deal breaker as I already had plenty. Minus one star for the bad cable.

Sin duda es un gran producto a adquirir, si no tienes un espacio o si necesitas un monitor adicional en algún lugar que no cuentes con el mismo, es una gran ayuda, el calidad de imagen es excelente y la garantía ofrecida por la fábrica es muy buena (en el texto) y espero no tener que recurrir a ello en el futuro y de ser así, espero tener ese respaldo de garantía del fabricante.Ver más

It's awesome! Turns your smartphone into a laptop!

This caught my attention from the perfect ratings that I was seeing and I will declare that this portable screen is indeed incredible! Quality of screen is great, functionality is fantastic, included accessories are surprisingly generous, picture quality is outstanding and set up is very simplistic. I love the fact that I can easily connect my Samsung Galaxy Note 10 to it by just using a USB C cord and its good to go! Screen turns on automatically and is powered by your smartphone! Literally turns it into a laptop with the option of using your phone as your curser /mouse. I Used it recently to watch movies in the plane and it's so awesome! Every app on your phone can be used on this from whatsapp, Facebook to Instagram. Best purchase I've made on Amazon in a while!Ver más

Great little monitor for the price

I wanted a portable display for various reasons - mostly for connecting to home servers/raspberry PIs when the need arises to get a console going, but also for occasionally setting up a second laptop display, or for vacationing somewhere and connecting an Apple TV. It works great for all these use cases.Pros: It comes with a nice magnetic carrying case that doubles as a stand. It comes with all the cables you need for various types of connectivity (separate power + HDMI, separate power + USB-C, USB-C only), as well as USB-A power adapter. The display is bright and crisp, and no issues with display responsive for regular desktop/console use, or for movies (I did not try to game with it).Cons: Colors are somewhat washed out compared to my other displays. Viewing angle isn't the greatest, either. Neither of these are a concern for me, especially given the price.Overall, great display. I'm very happy with it!Ver más
